Deeks is back for a visit so Mr Insecure is back in my room. #kipper #hasissues #insecuredog
I've always been a very introverted person - only ever opening up to people I've grown to trust and enjoy the company of. So it's no surprise that I have social issues that I can't hurdle on a daily basis. Something as small as the cook getting my order wrong at a restaurant is discouraging. Even though I should complain and push for a correction of the matter, I don't. I resign to the idea that others have it much harder than I do and I shouldn't make matters worse - even when I'm wronged and I am the one clearly in the right.
More than anything, I am really frustrated at feeling this way. I know it's something that I have to get past on my own. Yet how do you grow a backbone when you've never tried to use it. "Time to put on your 'big girl panties'" is what an old friend of mine would say.
I often ruminate on small situations that, for someone with greater confidence or willpower wouldn't put a second thought to and move forward. But I never seem to be able to. One disheartening scenario is all it takes to break my spirit. When someone tells me 'no' that's it, end of discussion, I can't do - and won't try to do it. Frankly, this inadequacy I have nauseates me. I could blame it on society and it's overall broad-sweeping negative outlook, but that would only be displacement of the real issue - which is me and how I choose to cope with these kinds of interactions. My life will pass me by, at the rate I'm going. If I don't make some strides, some of the best opportunities will pass on me.

Her hands caressed the pages of the tome she held in her hands this evening; far more bemused in the words of the author did The Countess not sense the female intruding upon her silent time. "I am The Countess and what is the name you are given in order to inform you that you have impeded my reading this evening?," she questioned, her attention removed from the tome and towards the young female.

Everyone else owes Sookie and I think that would be the Erics, Godrics, Pams, Sookies, and I think a few marvel characters too. If you are missing from her owe list, let me know.

“Welcome to Merlotte’s, I am Sookie and I will be your waitress this evening. How can I best serve you today? Booth or a table for the evening?,” she asked the young woman. Right now, it looked a bit slow, so she might be able to fit her in anywhere and get Lafayette firing up the grill a lot faster.
So many people in the mayor's office today!
Regina's hand swiftly swiveled a pen across a stack of papers. "Sign here. Initial here," she muttered to herself, filling out paperwork. However, she was interrupted by the sound of a parade of people marching through her office. She rolled her and closed up her work as she put on a lopsided smile for her guests. "Can I help you?"
