Why do all group photos of chicks and ducklings look like boy band posters
Imma baby!
Good news! The duck egg is fertilized and growing well!
Okay, so I'm not feeling good about the eggs I have in the incubator. As she was handing them off to me, my aunt said her roosters were slowing down, and she hadn't seen much breeding lately. I brushed it off, but we're on day 4 of incubating, and I'm not seeing veining. I really think I should see some by now, I have in the past. So I'm not holding my breath on the eggs anymore. It's a big letdown, but that's how it goes sometimes with livestock, especially free livestock lol. I did pick up some chicks today as a safety net, so chick content is coming. Maybe I'm wrong, and these eggs are just taking their time 🤷🏼♀️ I have male chicks now so worst case scenario I'll just incubate again when my new roos are doing their job in late summer.
You win some you lose some 🤷🏼♀️
