Journey to the North mural
Behind BnB Studios
Last week BnB began its journey from East to South at Hatched Gallery, taking you through our 100wordpilgrimage.
To celebrate, throughout the exhibition we’ll bring you a peek at the artists and writers behind the work. Together we make up Beddow ‘n’ Battini Studios.
Profile: Tam Paul Worika Email Blog Twitter: @TamDiman I'm Tam, a writer. I've been with Beddow 'n' Battini for 3 or 4 years now, which is also how long I've been writing for - or at least that's how long I've thought of pursuing it as a career. I've always loved telling stories and creating characters. I have a thing I'm trying to do at the moment where every day, whether it's based on a real person or completely pulled out of my head, I'll try and create a character with a long history. They're not always great, but it keeps me thinking and every once in a while, I'll find someone I want to use in a story. I'm a big fan of comic books and the whole Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre, so a lot of my work is very much based in those areas. I've written a couple of short film scripts (and co-directed one of them) mostly in the Comedy and Sci-fi genres. I'm also working on a feature script which was influenced by the piece I did for the exhibition. I'm currently writing a fantasy webcomic series called Stone of the Riders with my friend James Wade providing the artwork - you can see some of the sketches on our Tumblr page.

Website Blog
Russian born, London based illustrator and capoeirista. I love to draw and tell stories in any way possible - illustration, comics, animation or interactive media.
Perhaps I'm too curious about too many things, but I love to keep my eyes open to all that exciting stuff happening around me. Good stories are timeless, people are awesome and London is such a vibrant city. We are living in such an exciting era with so many sci-fi platforms coming to life and I want to be in the heart of it all. I believe my work reflects that point of view and I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoy making it.

Profile: Josh Medrano Website My name is Josh, one of the artists, & I created the Acton Town piece. I graduated from Camberwell College of Arts in 2009, from the FdA Illustration course. It was here I was also introduced to one of the B'n'B founders, Wumi, through a friend. Most of my work is to do with fictional environments, due to my interest in exploring different places, settings, parts of the city etc. I take pictures of my own, or work from found imagery, to create original work. I like focusing on things like natural light, composition, shape & colour when taking pics & drawing my "scenes". But recently, I know that my work must have some kind of story behind them, or need to arise from a narrative, so I think working on collaborative projects with B'n'B will bring out the best of me as an artist, & see what I'm really made of. I have enjoyed my experiences so far.

My day job My primary passion
Twitter Linked In Facebook
I live to write, I write to explore, I explore to learn, I learn to teach, I teach to love, I love to write, I write to live... and so the cycle goes!
Simultaneous to writing scripts, poetry, short stories, blogs and other, I run Scribble Ink- a Story Consultancy designed to mentor emerging writers throughout their creative process. It's early days but it's taking off pretty well.
My ultimate career goal is to have my time split between being a Writer in Residence and running Scribble Ink successfully.
I am inspired by people of all walks of life in all disciplines and I hope to share and expand my knowledge with this ever-evolving network of beautiful people!
Other interests include music (watching not playing... although I have attempted to pick up a guitar countless times), eating (namely chocolate), art galleries, reading, traveling and being in a midst of a hippy-fied live audience!
