Jayvik × Paulkins crossover by @lyovpple 🖤🖤
Has anyone written any Hatchetfield/Star Trek crossover fanfics? It would be perfect, since TGWDLM is already sci fi with Pokey's alien spores. I have so many Paulkins Star Trek AU ideas! The main questions for me are whether to make them both human and both in Starfleet, and what era they should be in. My main ideas:
A plot that reflects the themes of TGWDLM. Emma on the Enterprise comes across an alien planet (similar to Earth, or an alternate reality/history Earth) populated by Pokey’s musical singing Hivemind. Paul is of course the emissary for this planet. He directs the Hive, but maybe he has more autonomy (like half-infected Paul: he’s himself when Pokey isn’t possessing him). He’s kind of like Picard’s Locutus, the leading voice for the Borg, but still part of the collective. In private moments with Paul, maybe Emma sees him at his most vulnerable, when he’s detached from Pokey’s presence and feels empty and afraid. Maybe when he's on the ship and further from Pokey's influence than he's ever been, he has an extreme reaction to the freedom and distance (maybe it's like an addiction where he goes through awful withdrawal pains before feeling better?? So he's in his guest quarters throwing up blue ooze and Emma's frantically trying to comfort him). Through all of this, Emma gets to know Paul really well and wants to save him and his planet from the Hivemind, but there’s debate about the Prime Directive. The potential angst/whump for this one is so good.
TNG era on a starship: Emma is in command red, a bridge officer, flourishing in a position of responsibility. She loves that she can travel so much. Meanwhile, Paul is a science officer in blue. The few times he goes to the bridge, he notices how good she is at her job, and he admires how confident and funny she is from afar. Paul sees her in Ten Forward sometimes, and tries to get up the courage to talk to her. He delivers a report to the bridge one day and shyly gives it to her. They have a brief, professional exchange where he just manages to keep from stuttering and says, “Report from stellar cartography,” and Emma thanks him with a glance and smile? It’s a really small exchange, but suddenly Paul is craving more interactions with her. He arranges things so he’s always the one to bring science reports to the bridge until Emma finally notices that it’s always him delivering them. Eventually they finally strike up a conversation and go on a coffee date. <3
Deep Space Nine AU: Part of me doesn’t think Paul and Emma would like the discipline of Starfleet, and they could just be civilians on the DS9 space station. I can imagine Emma as a new arrival to the station. She gets a job waitressing at Quark’s, but she constantly wants to quit because the Ferengi and some of the clients are misogynist assholes. One of the dabo girls is her roommate, and Jadzia Dax befriends Emma and teaches her how to deal with the Ferengi. The best part of Emma's day is getting a hot cup of raktajino with Paul at the Replimat during her break.
In any of these AUs Paul could be half-alien for funsies. So many good potential plotlines could come from this, or just be an excuse for mpreg, lmao! Can you imagine Paul nervously tell her “It’s yours,” and Emma is like “wut.”? XD
Or what if Paul is Trill, and the symbiont worm inside of him is Pokotho?? :O Duuudes. Maybe he was on the candidate list to get a symbiont, and he’s really excited about it when he’s notified that he’s finally been accepted. But then Emma notices that it starts to really change him, that it’s more like a split personality—and Paul is afraid of the symbiont inside of him. It’s like an intrusive voice in his head, it’s telling him to do things he doesn’t want to do, something’s wrong. His body starts to reject the symbiont OR he has to get it removed before the joining is complete and then it can’t be removed without killing him. (Or some other plotline where Pokey infects Paul somehow on an away mission, and they have to figure out how to get rid of it.)
Then the supporting cast is anyone and everyone from Hatchetfield! The Lords in Black feature as different aliens of the week with their untold horrors. Disasters on the ship throw Paul and Emma together in new ways. So many AU possibilities!
The Star Trek AU could even just turn out to be another one of Pokey's elaborate games. He dresses Hatchetfield citizens up in Starfleet uniforms and puts them all on a starship. Everyone from TGWDLM will be there, and suddenly become self-aware beyond the script Pokey made for them. (It could even just be brief moments of self-awareness, like how in the reprise, Jon said he would occasionally play Paul with a little déjà vu.) They'll be confused and wonder what the hell they're doing on a starship. Emma says to Paul, noticing their red and blue uniforms, "What the hell are we wearing?" The whole crew of Hatchetfield characters could then try and break the time loop! If Pokey turns out to be more of a simple alien than a god, like one of the Q species, it could be easier to defeat him. Maybe the other Lords in Black are in the Q Continuum (what we otherwise know as "Drowsy Town"), and Paul and Emma try to summon one or all of the LIB to somehow get rid of Pokey/his influence.
A crossover was inevitable 🤯

Lore Connected Story: What it takes
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~• [Friday. 8/07/2025. 8:30pm]
The evening settles over the flat, gray light fading fast through the kitchen window, and Cindy sits curled into the corner of the sofa with her knees drawn up, still in her work clothes from the shop. Cindy's mind keeps going back to what happened at Inwood Hill Park. And this time, she remembers it. All of it, clear and unbearable, her fists connecting again and again, the rock finally in her hand, the weight of it, the give of bone beneath it, the sound. She'd always been spared that mercy before, waking up clean of it, no memory to carry. This time she's carried every second home with her. Almost as if she was there.
That’s because you were, something whispers, low and amused, uninvited, curling through her thoughts like it belongs there. You were always asleep when I was having my fun. But this time you wanted to play too, didn't you?
The word claws its way up her throat before she can stop it. "NO!" she says out loud, to the empty room. Cindy presses the heels of her hands hard against her eyes until colors bloom behind them. This can't keep going. She's already gone too far, further than she ever let herself imagine, and there's nothing left to hide behind anymore.
How? the voice asks, almost gently, almost mocking. You can't get rid of. You wanted this! And it's gonna be like this forever, unless...
Not letting herself listen to it a second longer, Cindy is already moving, crossing to the bedroom, kneeling in front of the chest at the foot of her bed with hands that have gone perfectly, terribly steady. The metal box comes free easily, the way it always does, and the Black Book settles into her lap with the same familiar, unbearable weight it always carries.
Somehow she'd already known where to look before she opened it, had known since Thursday night, the moment she understood the blood on her hands wasn't a mystery at all, it was hers to answer for. the realization came to her last night, along with everything else. Of course it all had something to do with her, the ritual she did more than a week ago, the spell she cast, she couldn't go around pretending it didn't work. Because it did. And whatever's going on with her, this was her own fault.
Her fingers find the page without much searching this time, the same passage she'd read the night before.
The bargain holds only as long as the vessel lives.
"There it is again! Hahahahahahah!" The sound of the maniacal laughter sends shivers down her spin. "Cindy has to die! Cindy has to die! Lalalalalala! Cindy has to die!"
Cindy doesn't want to give it the satisfaction of being right. But it is.
There was only way to break the spell, to end this curse. And she's already made a decision.
What would your mother say when she found out you used the book?
She would be disappointed. I know this. I’m no stranger to disappointing a parent.
But I couldn’t just stand there and not help when I knew that I could. I had something that had the power to save someone so I used it.
Happy Pride Month, Cindy! Maybe try not to play with the dark forces again.
I don't know if I can trust myself to make that promise. What if someone needs my help again and the only way I can help them is to use the book. But I'll try my best not to let it consume me. I can't let it consume me.
Happy Pride Month to you too, anon.
wait is pete stuck in the robot now????
I'm not sure. I don't know
I don't think so. I think I can still preform the ritual again if he decides he wants a new, better one.
