the short answer : both.

the long answer : he's very timid in the beginning of your relationship, so easily flustered at the slightest sign of affection. but the more comfortable he gets around you, the easier it is for him to express his feelings, though he always blushes about it. and if you're a freak like me then inevitably you rub off on him. he's always had his own desires and fantasies, but you make him a little more unhinged about it, a little more wild than he's used to being. he definitely gets shy when you're especially forward about what you want, or when he has to tell you exactly what he wants. once you get into it though, and his brain feels all fuzzy and full of you, his filter drops and he gets so much more bold.......... sigh................
