An art gifting game
BREAKING NEWS: our boy is officially fucked. BUT☝️ we knew this would happen.
The list of matchups for the tumblr sexyman tournament just dropped, and Diplomator is up against a heavy hitter. Because of course he is.
Not gonna lie, I'd vote for House too if he was up against some random guy. But unfortunately I know this random guy. And care about him deeply.
So if we're being realistic here, Diplomator going into the next round is basically not possible. BUT☝️we always knew he wouldn't get far, and the fact that he's in the competition at all is already an accomplishment.
So if we view our goal as making people remember Diplomator, and remember him positively, we can still win.
I've seen many folks bond over hyping up their contestants, and many people who saw them started to warm up to the character themselves. This sense of community, of good sportsmanship, pure enthusiasm is what makes it fun.
So let's use the one week he'll be in the tournament to its full potential. Write the propaganda, draw the propaganda, talk to people, tell the world why you love this stupid jerk, let people see and understand why we want him in this contest, let them see why he deserves his rightful place in the sexyman lineup, and most importantly HAVE FUN. And then, just maybe… there'll be more dmo fans by the end of the contest than there were at the start.
But remember: in spirit of good sportsmanship, we are only hyping up OUR guy (and any other guys you want to hype up). We are NOT shitting on anyone else's faves. Uplifting who we want to uplift, but not making fools of ourselves by hating on people. Should go without saying, but just in case.

Tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell your mom, tell your ex, tell your followers on tiktok, tell that one internet friend you had an incredibly close relationship with that gradually faded over the years but you always kinda wanted an excuse to maybe talk to them again, tell your dog, tell fucking everybody. And then, maybe, we can make this poll not look like fabricated election results in an authoritarian country (where the winner always magically wins by over 80%).

do you think fran ever gets flashbacks to the fight with tolya. or like. bad dreams about it. i need to know this, it’s wonderful angst potential we must capitalize on this
Yes 😁 It isn't something that ever really goes away. She always feels guilty about it. It's something that weighs on her self esteem, her perception of her worth as a person. Can never look at hockey the same way

will she Ever confront these feelings? does she feel unforgivable, Ashamed of what she’s done? is she hiding that behind the mask of hatred for tolya, trying to convince herself she doesn’t care about him at all? is this part of the reason for her emotional unavailability? she doesn’t want to hurt anyone else close to her, so she doesn’t want to let anyone in at all?
oh man, i sure hope she doesn’t have a group of strange and colorful people who keep trying to befriend her. thinking face
but seriously though, do you think she would ever open up to fëdor about any of this, or would she keep this to herself forever? would she have to talk though this first before being able to eventually reconcile with tolya? it doesn’t feel like something that can just be swept under the rug forever

It's easier to just keep holding bad feelings towards him than continue weighing it all over in your mind. Numbs the guilt a bit. But she's never going to blame him. And why bother reaching out to people when you feel unforgivable? When you feel like a shit human being? When you don't even know what you're doing?
It would take her awhile to open up to Fedor about her baggage, like how she keeps her reason for her college dropout secret. But with time she would open up. And Fedor talking to her would overall help her kind of figure out her feelings about the whole thing. And it hurts really bad but she knows now hey she Should talk to him

i’m so giddy right now you have No idea. oh my god fran why are you like this… (i say as we all know exactly why)
i think it’s interesting. they both blame themselves. sure fran did the “worse” thing here (badly injuring tolya) but tolya himself feels to blame as well, feels like he deserves it. his own perception of the whole incident (along with perception of himself) has been skewed over time with years of remembering and misremembering elements of that incident and the time after it. 
god, if they would just Talk to each other… except they won’t, and that’s the problem. neither of them are able to move on on their own, neither of them are able to reconcile with the other without outside interference, and both of them make themself emotionally unavailable such that it’s very hard for someone from the outside to even get in…
that’s one of the things about fran and fëdor’s friendship i think, they both had something to hide. fran found out about fëdor’s big secret, and it made for a bit of a situation at first but ultimately they came though it and got a lot closer. i feel like this could be the start of her finally having someone who, maybe, she can trust. and fëdor himself was in need of a friend too - of course he is going to want to try and help fran though this Big Thing that is Obviously bothering her, whatever that may be…

was inspired by all the times i’ve seen this done, here’s my interpretation of dmo characters as mlp.
i wanted to keep it as close to the mlp gen 4 style as possible, so designs are a little simple, though i think it’s a fun challenge to follow the canon constraints of mlpfim design lol
i put a lot of thought into this actually, if anyone’s curious about my decisions with design or cutie marks feel free to ask me about it, i’d love to explain more
side note, i think diplomator would definitely wear a cloak of some kind, i just didn’t draw that here for the sake of my own sanity lol
rather fond of how this turned out, i might draw more with them, it’s fun

A little bit of fanart of sorts for The Deck AU by @hey-im-zeesha just because I've been thinking about Fran in that AU theoretically. Funny to me. It is too stressful of a situation to be attempting friendship and yet....
For those who don't remember/know even in a situation that isn't this AU with the specific illusions, Fran keeps mistaking the clones for Fedor and it's putting some strain and confusion in the dynamic on Fran's side and Fedor isn't super aware. Until Romeo is probably the straw to break the camels back because It's Romeo And He Loves Ladies. And she would get REALLY pissed at him. Only for the next day Fedor tries to greet Fran only to be snapped at and accidentally get revealed an apartment full of clones. It's a mess
TDAU kind of just makes the scenario funnier. because to her eyes it's not even a bunch of clones that have their own different hair IT'S A BUNCH OF THE EXACT SAME HEADS. She feels like she's being pranked and it's a hard misunderstanding to fix. they'll figure it out somehow but this is not a good time. lol

I often think about outsiders' pov and honestly from their perspective this entire situation is such an insane shitshow. If you know about clones, then you are dragged into the mess Fëdor created for himself. If you DON'T know - Fëdor looks like a lunatic. It doesn't matter whether you are informed, it doesn't look good either way🫡🫡🫡
In the scenario you created, even if Fëdor told Fran about the cards and the clones, and even IF she believed him, I can only imagine it going wrong anyway. The funniest outcome I can think of is when Fëdor BARERLY convinces her that magic is real just for Waru to ruin everything the very next day for shits and giggles. At this point, she would probably think violence is an option.
