(1/3 lol) Rakim is a modern artist and he's a minimalist painter but he's rly good and always featured in local exhibitions and Pete is a cool Local Guy who does Local Things and he's checking out the gallery u kno and he's in love with rakims stuff
(2/3) and it's like in a poetic way bc some paintings are aesthetically nice and some remind him of things and then there's one that makes him feel so much emotion it's like he's empty, so he comes back a few times to stare at it like an idiot
(3/4 I kno what I said) and Rakim is there to hang/maybe sell and he always notices the weird blond guy staring at his least favorite painting but he asks of he wants to buy it and petes like "It would feel differnt" and rakims like ...Ok pal...
(4/4) so for his next series hes trying to paint just for that weird stranger and he tries to make every emotion the guy could have and he fucks up this one but he exhibits it a month later and weird blond guys back to stare at it and they get talkin
But like either way hell come out of his room and Pete looks proud af even if he's just managed to burn pasta or make a fucking wedding cake and they always sit on their kitchen floor and eat it anyways and even tho asaps nearly gotten sick over shit
