Okay, this was exactly what it looked like.  Sure, Ace Chemicals had been abandoned for decades (even by the criminals, which is saying something) but that didn’t make the sight of a four-foot-six fourteen year old breaking into said building any less explainable.

“ Geez , you look like you’re having a shitty day .”  With his eyebrows crooked up , Tate gave a silent offer , rattling it towards his peer , of his half - empty box of Marlboro Reds --- Bill , he believed his name was . Or something similar  ( Will , maybe ??)  They never spoke , he’d only seen him in passing throughout the hallway , and he knew little to none about him other than they seemed to have the same group of tormentors .  “ Here ,”  Tate insisted .  “ It might make you feel a little bit better .”

“ I wanna get better, ” Snufkin told Bill plainly, just staring straight ahead. “ I didn't know I was broken 'til i wanted to change, ” he added, not exactly specifically addressing the teen, just more so thinking aloud. This epiphany of his all occurring because he nearly had a panic attack outside of the comic book store in the town that he landed in and didn’t even know the name of. That last part wasn’t so new, he never asked for the names of places he travels to, he just enjoyed the experience of travelling itself. But, panicking in a very public setting was much less enjoyable. Crowds generally had that effect on him.
