The HateTheHate workshop at my school was a great success! The AIGA Student Chapter at my university hosted it (which I’m secretary of) and we had tote bags, hanging tags, postcard-sized kraft paper, a button maker, linoleum blocks, acetone for xerox transfers, and other artsy stuff!

It was about really spreading positivity instead of spreading hate (we tried to not be political, but it’s basically the main fuel for hate recently), so we decided to do so through a workshop of low-tech guerilla art! :D

Martin Luther King was a big part of the civil rights movement for African Americans. While our society has made huge steps towards the acceptance of people regardless of the color of their skin, we are still facing other forms of discrimination such as the hate towards people of different sexual orientations. There are many other forms of discrimination around us. Lets try to make Martin Luther King's dream come true.
