Spook Of The Day #260 • A Liverpool woman once bought a haunted bed feat. a random spirit
In 2002, a young woman from Liverpool decided she needed a new bed. Or maybe not decided, like if you need a bed you need a damn bed, it’s a necessity.
She went with a friend to a local market - Quiggins - and saw a bed in the corner. On it was a man lying face down fully clothed.
She asked the seller about the man, concerned someone just had a heartattack in the middle of the store. He vanished when the salesman came back to the bed to check it out.
So she bought it and was uhhh using it one night when she awoke to this huge pressure on top of her.
She went to the bathroom to splash hr face and chillax but she returned to the same man lying on the bed. He then flipped and in a really weird motion got out of the bed and moved towards her.
She returned the bed and discovered a man had had a heartattack in it before dying.

"So, son, you forgot to mention in your letter, what with this craze that took over Hogwarts. How was settling in? Got in alright? No hitches this year?"
"Oh, no. It was great, dad. It was weird this year, though. Because one of my roommates moved out to a different dorm, and only two of us were left there. Me and sixth year student, which reminds me... Right before the student moved out, they all got sentimental and started telling stories about that room. Guess what I found out, dad."
"Hmm, what? That there are ghosts in your dorm?" Amos joked with a snicker.
"Nah. Nothing as thrilling as that. Something a little more boring," Cedric joked back while nudging his father. "I found out that the dorm I'd been living in for years was actually the same one you lived in. Sadly, we found out that it wasn't your bed I slept in."
Suddenly, it was like a block of ice had just landed on Amos' gut. "Oh? Whose was it, then?"
"Your roommate, Caradoc Dearborn, I believe his name is. Turns out I'd been sleeping in his bed all these years."
And then there was an echo. And echo of a voice that reverberated through his skull. A voice that was so familiar. A voice that he never forgot even through the years. This time, the voice seemed to be screaming. Screaming for help. Screaming a warning...
It sounded like Caradoc...
That year was the year of the Triwizard Tournament.
That year was the year that his star had fallen from his sky...
