JOLIET'S HAUNTED PATRICK C. HALEY MANSION - Joliet, Illinois. Designed by Joliet architect Frank Shaver Allen, and built in 1891 for Joliet Mayor Patrick C. Haley, this castle-like mansion (and one-time funeral home) is considered to be one of Joliet's "Most Haunted" houses. A number of ghostly encounters with spectral beings, disembodied voices, and self-moving objects have been allegedly reported at this creepy locale. This stately mansion now operates as a private events center that specializes in hosting high-class weddings - along with it's ghosts.
