Hello! I recently started getting into printing stickers, but I am having such a difficult time finding paper that doesn't end up scratching off. Do you mind sharing what kind of paper you use? Thanks!
Hi there! Do you mean that the sticker gets scratched off the surface it’s stuck to, or that the design/ink is scratched off the paper?
My current paper source is OnlineLabels.com and I’m using their weatherproof glossy inkjet sheets (product #OL177WI). It’s made of a plastic material (vinyl?) that’s difficult to tear. It sticks very well and the color won’t come off when I scratch at it with a fingernail. They’re a little pricey at $5.49 per sheet if you’re not buying in bulk and you can get free samples here if you wanna test them out first before committing.
Edit: I should probably include this disclaimer--please note that this “paper” is really shiny and if you use a cutting machine like Silhouette or Cricut, the laser might not be able to read the registration marks (as I’ve learned). You can rectify this by putting Post-It tape over the areas where the marks go before printing. That way the marks are on a matte surface and the laser will be able to see them clearly without the light bouncing all over the place.
