The three-horned Bull of Avrigney is a 1st century #bronze #statue representing the Celto-Roman god Tarvos trigaranus, discovered in 1756 in Avrigney-Virey #hautesaone . In the 1980s, the mayor of #besançon offered a cast of this bonze to the town of Avrigney-Virey to symbolize the return of this bull to the village of its origins.
