Zutara headcanon with Kya and Izumi
Was brainstorming and accidentally made myself tear up :')
Just imagine Kya, that when she was little, absolutely adored Zuko. Whenever he was around she'd follow him, tug and cling to his robes and always ask to see his firebending tricks, even when she found out she's a waterbender. It continued her whole life, she just made it less obvious as a teen and adult.
Same with Izumi and Katara. The princess loves whenever Katara visits the fire nation palace or when Zuko takes her to the south pole. She asks a lot of questions, asks to see waterbending tricks and how she manages to heal. Even as a teen and adult the adoration also continued but dialed down, but the fondness and happiness in her eyes is always there.
The two girls end up sharing almost a close feeling of sisterhood. They feel like they should've been sisters at some point, because maybe a part of them wished that their parents were together instead.
Anyway, I'm not saying that Aang was a bad father to Kya or that Izumi's mother was bad with her. Just wanting to explore some things :D
