my word is STUCK

S - Sometimes he feels like he’s imagining the whole thing, like he’s so sad and so lonely that he’s made it all up, like his brain is eating itself just for something to do, and this is what’s left.  T - The awareness that he’s going to die out here, alone, the only human for hundreds of thousands of miles. U - "Unless you want to tell her that you ran?" C - Casual sex with strangers is infinitely less scary than choosing to let people in, and this is much more serious than sex has ever been. K - Karen who prays to Athena and Hephaestus by turn, who has a shrine in her home for the muses.

i have two questions: how long have you been drawing for? because your art is amazing and i wish to be that good one day (so any tips on how to get better are super appreciated)

and, how long have you been in the gcest fandom for?

I’ve been drawing since I could basically hold a crayon but I started taking it a bit more seriously in 8th grade (when I got a pack of prismacolor pencils and a 3DS with Pokémon art academy lmao).

It’s a bit hard to measure how you get better, since sometimes it feels like it just happens, but I’d say my best tip for improving while still having fun is find the things you like and rip them off.

An artist, a style, a movie screenshot, a random painting you see scrolling through twitter, if you see something you like you open up that sketchbook or document or whatever and do everything you can to make something like that. Copy it if you like (just give credit if you post it) or make something that heavily derives from it, I don’t care, just take it and mash it into your own thing. Hell, take two things and mash them together. Take three things! Because soon you’ll notice what it is that you add on to these things that you’re taking, the personal stories that you tell through them, and the ways that you choose to combine them together to do this. Then you’ll expand upon them, and they’ll feel more and more like your own, because it’s become your own process and nobody else is gonna do it quite like you. And if you’re doubtful of if this process will work and produce beautiful and worthwhile art then look no further than my good friend, Noel Gallagher.

Uhhh as for gcest I’ve only been here since June. Was on Twitter, saw THE picture of them kissing, fell down an insane rabbit hole and bought tickets to their concert immediately. I really really love it here, and I still consider myself a newbie even though there’s this whole big wave of people who came after me lmao
