Tell me that you still pick up your phone and type in my number. That when it’s two am and your parents are fighting, you aren’t going through it alone. That when the glass shatters on the other side of the wall you aren’t hiding under the covers pretending you’re sleeping. Tell me that you still look for me in crowded places. That you aren’t sitting in the corner wishing you were somewhere else. That the floor isn’t sinking around you and you can’t find the strength to move. Tell me you still turn to hold my hand. That you don’t get behind the wheel after drinking too much and start crying. Or when you pull over to throw up, you aren’t holding you’re own hair back. And if you can’t, that’s fine. Just tell me you aren’t alone. That you’re calling someone to save you from your home. That someone’s pulling you close as they pull you on the dance floor, making you forget the world. That you’re pulling over to count the stars with someone next to you on the hood of the car. You don’t have to need me, but for the love of god have someone, please.
