I'm so proud of Julie Andem. For how she created this whole Skam universe in the first place and how she made it a safe place for these young actors to grow and shine.

I'm so proud of how she always let the characters and the show speak for itself. How she never felt the need to go out there and correct the viewers opinions or feelings, wether they loved or hated her decisions.

Skam was her creation, her baby, but still she has never felt the need to use SM or anything to defend her work, the characters or their actions. She trusted her work and she also put trust in her young viewers. Skam was created to help teenagers deal, give them some tools and let them know that they're not alone. Such beautiful messages.

I really wish she would get more praise for her work, also by the creators of the remakes... I know she doesn't really care for attention and that she hates doing interviews, but damn she deserves praise and recognition. And not only for her writing and directing, but also for how she always treated everyone, from the actors to the viewers, with nothing but respect.
