I love Vince & Dave in conniving old men mode.

This episode has to be Duke's all time best outfit, with the hair and the jacket and the layers<3 Such a look

And then with Nathan being all smooth; really different side of him from how he is with Audrey, or Jess.

Tommy getting one over on the Teagues towards the end is priceless, though I really want to hear more about these offshore millions they apparently have.

And then super dramatic ending with Audrey dreaming about the Colorado Kid and Agent Howard. (They must have got both of those actors on set for a matter of mere hours, for the whole seconds they're each on screen XD )

I thought how frustrating and unfair it was for Audrey to be separated from Nathan constantly through this rewatch. But actually Duke has the shittest fucking hand. This man can’t get a break. Now he got this trouble leaking from his eyes. Poor guy just wants to live his life. Then that stupid hoe Mara took advantage of him and made him believe she actually cared to be like hahah jk im still a sociopath. Poor guy.

Update on ‘how much does tumblr hate my sideblog for some reason’, this is my queer (aro & ace centric) stuff blog and my fandom/photosets blog ( slightly weird combo but whatever), mostly Haven, but there’s also other fandoms but turns out, it does not show up on tags, even on desktop. It never really showed up on mobile but now it shows up nowhere. What fun!

Anyway, you might have seen some of my Havensyfy stuff around, like Haven houses, mostly from @grey-haven @cookiedoughmeagain and @spankedbyspike , or maybe @storgeagape and @iamgwenslongroadhome , and I’m currently doing a rewatch which includes reblogging my old stuff and doing Audrey photosets. I don’t have a lot of Duke and I’m rather Nathan-centric but maybe check out that blog, if you’re interested.

Haven - Silent Night

Such a fun epsiode - particularly on a rewatch when you know it's all going to work out ok

I always appreciate how the opening scene uses a song by Eric Balfour’s band. Nice little touch

Also love the little cameo from show creator Sam Ernst at the bakery

Vince being all discombobulated because he’s on his own is really quite heartbreaking

Haven has so many storylines that focus on fathers to the exclusion of mothers, and here’s another one, yet it’s one which also acknowledges an impossibility behind that: “I never had a wife? That's impossible, because I have a daughter; she has to have had a mom.”

That Haven snowglobe’s got to be near the top of the list of propos from set I’ve love to have.

“Audrey? Maybe when you get here, you can explain to me why I'm in a Santa costume. I'm having one of those Haven moments.” XD

Plus Stan in the Christmas antlers is priceless

I really like to think Audrey’s Christmas party in July is the beginning of a long-standing Haven tradition

Nathan Wuornos: What’d you find?

Audrey Parker: The reason Cole and Gwen freaked out when they saw me. They knew Lucy Ripley?

Nathan: This man here? That’s my dad.

Audrey: Chief knew Lucy? Why didn’t he say anything?

Nathan: Did my father know about all this?

Cole Glendower: Yes. At first, we assumed you did too, both of you.

Audrey: Because you recognised me. You thought that I was Lucy.

Gwen Glendower: But of course, that’s impossible. Lucy would be in her 50s now.

Audrey: Can you tell me about Lucy?

Gwen: Lucy was only in Haven a few months. Garland Wuornos would’ve known more, they worked together. Helped people who no one else could help.

Audrey: Did she say anything about where she was going after she left Haven?

Gwen: No. Just like she appeared one day, she was gone. It was a few days after the Colorado Kid murder.

Audrey: I have a picture of her there on the beach where they found him.

Gwen: It was the only time that anyone ever saw her cry.
