After the war was over, Harry personally made a point to visit each and every survivor of the Final Battle. When it was time to see Lavender, he decided to get her out of her shell. She had become a recluse since the battle. Harry walked up to a little cottage that was outside of a small town. He noticed that there was a shed in the back with a padlock it. He wandered if that was where she would turn. He knocked on the pale blue door. Lavender had a surprised look on her face when she opened the door. “Hey Lavender!” Harry said with a wave. “Can I talk to you for a bit?” Lavender snapped out of her daze and stepped out of the way to let Harry in the cottage. “I am sorry, Harry. It is a bit of a mess. I wasn’t expecting company,” Lavender said sheepishly. Harry waved her off. “Would you like to sit down? Tea? Coffee?” “Tea would be lovely, Lav.” Harry said kindly. Lavender hurried off to the kitchen to make them some tea. Harry looked around the cottage and noticed that it was sparse for her. He wondered if she was struggling since the war because she was mauled by Greyback. He turned around to get a good look at her when she came back into the room with the tea set. She looked tired and the wounds healed nicely for the most part but you can see the shadows of the scars. “Cream or sugar, Harry?” Lavender asked. Harry shook his head no and took the tea cup from her from his seat on the couch. “So Harry, what brings you here?” Harry took a sip of the tea to fortify him before going into a spiel. “I have been visiting everyone from our class and the class behind us that had survived the war. I have been checking on them and seeing how they are faring since it was over. I offer my help if needed. Let me ask you something. Do you have to change into a werewolf after the war?” Lavender nodded with tears in her eyes. Harry moved closer to her to put his hand on hers to give comfort. “Lavender, you have nothing to be ashamed. I am going to make sure that you get the potion every month for as long as you live, OK?” Lavender looked at him in shock and said “Why? Why are you doing this? That is too costly for you.” Harry laughed at the costly part. “Lavender, I am independently wealthy between the Potter vaults, Black vaults and the Slytherin vaults, which I got from conquest. I am using the Slytherin vaults to help get the school back on its feet including new equipment. I am using the Black vaults for any needs that my school friends’ needs. Consider this as a thank you for your support and defense of the school.” Lavender started to cry more at Harry’s words. She couldn’t believe how kind and generous he was. She had forgotten that part about him. “Thank you, Harry. I will be forever in your debt for the potions. Could you do me one other favor though?” Lavender asked. Harry nodded. “Could you check to make sure that the shed in the back is sturdy enough for me?” “Sure thing, Lav. Actually I have something better for you to transform into if you will allow me to set it up for you. It will have sensors in it to let someone you trust know that if something went wrong with you during a transformation or that you have somehow escaped it,” Harry told a shocked Lavender. She shook her and nodded in agreement. “Good. I will make sure to contact you before the next full moon so we can set it up for you and you can tell me then who you want as your contact.” Lavender leaned over to give Harry a big hug of gratitude, which Harry readily returned. “I have to get going. I am meeting with George to discuss the future of his business.” “Thanks again, Harry. I really do appreciate what you are doing for me.” Lavender whispered to him. “No problem, Lavender. I will be in touch soon and will keep in contact from time to time. OK?” Harry asked. Lavender nodded. “I will see you soon.” Harry walked out of the cottage feeling confident that he boosted her up a bit.
