Happy birthday, Daddy! There are so many things I have learned from you over the years, but none can compare to all you’ve taught me about the love of Our Heavenly Father. Yes, you were always the father who tucked me in at night, lifted me up to swing on the monkey bars, carried me on your shoulders, made me laugh nonstop, cheered the loudest at all my performances...but you were also always the father that taught me to get on my knees in prayer, to worship God in and through everything, to forgive and forget, to have compassion upon those in need, to love and see every person as Jesus would. I’ll admit, there were times (and still are haha) when I didn’t necessarily want to listen, but most of the time I secretly looked up to you for being such a strong, faithful man of God who loves God and others so earnestly and unashamedly. And I have learned so much from you. . .
