Flinching back at the shouted word, Nux swallows hard enough to feel Larry and Barry shift on the side of his neck. Rarely has he seen his GOD in such an ENRAGED & UNFORGIVING state of mind. He is not afraid, so much as he is worried about letting him down. The consequences of letting him down matter not. It is the fact that he refuses to be WORTHLESS in the Immortan’s eyes.

It is not often that they see themselves this backed into a corner, with their losses piling up around them. And it probably wasn’t helping that the People Eater was tallying it all up and reminding them verbally every few minutes. Nux wasn’t sure why Immortan Joe kept inviting him along when he didn’t seem to do anything more than cause panic… Nodding in agreement, Nux backed towards his pursuit vehicle.

“Slit and I will end this. We WON’T let you down Immortan Joe.” Crossing his fingers to form the sacred V8 salute, he bows his head before spinning on his heel and jogging back to where his lancer was awaiting him. They couldn’t afford to fuck this up. It was either finish this fight now, or die trying. Either was fine by him.
