“Hey Lila  you finish your homework yet?” he called as he went about putting on his over shirt. He was hoping to take her out to get a bit more practice with the bow and arrow but homework was a priority, or so Laura claimed. 

[arrowloosed]

’ You smell like a lawn mower. ’

      “aw, lila.” there are grass stains up and down his shirt, the knees of his jeans are a little ripped, and he’s got a smudge mark on his nose. nathaniel has started to run before he’s started to walk. little spitfire, that one. but it means he’s spent the better part of two hours chasing after him, and then chasing after lucky, and being chased in return. not only does he smell like a lawnmower, he kinda looks like one too. he rubs a hand through his hair and grass comes out. “your brother put grass in my mouth.”
