Valentine’s Day had never been a big deal to you, but Hawks had other plans.

You woke up to the soft brush of feathers against your skin and the scent of something sweet filling the air. Blinking away sleep, you found Keigo leaning over you with a lazy grin, his golden eyes gleaming with mischief.

“Morning, sweetheart,” he murmured, pressing a lingering kiss to your forehead. “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

You stretched, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. “You’re up early.”

“Had to set up a little something for my favorite person.”

He stepped aside, revealing a tray balanced on one of his red feathers—pancakes shaped like hearts, fresh fruit, and a cup of coffee just the way you liked it.

Your heart warmed at the sight. “Keigo, you didn’t have to—”

He cut you off with a dramatic sigh, flopping beside you. “What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t spoil you at least a little?”

You giggled, taking a bite of the pancakes. “These are actually really good.”

“Hey, don’t sound so surprised,” he teased, poking your cheek. “I put my heart into those.”

The morning passed in a blur of laughter and soft touches. Later, Keigo whisked you away to a rooftop picnic, complete with fairy lights and a breathtaking view of the city skyline. His wings curled around you as you both watched the sunset, his warmth wrapping around you like a security blanket.

“You make every day feel like Valentine’s Day,” you whispered, leaning into him.

He tilted your chin up, his lips brushing against yours. “That’s the goal, baby.”

And as he kissed you, slow and sweet, you knew there was no place you’d rather be.
