Attempted to draw a sleepy Hawks? Not too bad, I think. I wanted to try and draw Hawks, but gender bend. I forgot I still need to work on drawing bodies, so here is head. I might have tortured myself with the hair too. That is another thing I need to work on.

There has to be a problem with me cause I can't seem to write anything but angst 🙃

Hawks had no idea how this happened

One day he had no notable opinion about you

Then all of a sudden he was sure he'd never been this deeply in love before in his life and he was sure he'd never feel this way about anyone ever again

Keigo was truly at a lost

How did some random vigilant who he was supposed to be getting off the streets become the love of his life?

He would think about it maybe it was the first time you met and you charmed him out of arresting you saying you wouldn't do it again

Back then it wasn't for anything sufficient, hawks would just say you were pretty funny and you seemed harmless enough

Or maybe it was the second time he caught you and you batted your eyes saying "How could I just let them steal that old lady's purse? I was just being a good citizen....cut me some slack?"

Or could it had been after he decided to keep on eye you and he saw what you did on your so called off days

You worked at who he guess was a family member's bakery

And you seemed like a bight light in your community

Or it had to be when you confronted him one night when he was out on his own patrol

"I hope you don't think you're slick with your little stake outs hawks" you joke handing him some brownies that you had made while working

Hawks couldn't lie he was a little dumbfounded

"Ho-how'd you know?"

You smile brightly putting your fingers to your lips, "its a secret" you laughed at his frown "I just know."

The rest of that night went on with the two of you chatting while he worked and you 'helped'

"How come you can't be happy just with the normal work you do at the bakery?" Hawks asked you

You just shrugged, "I dunno just can't..."

That answer had seemed to satisfy him that night

And life went on

He had every right to arrest you, but hawks simply didn't want too...he liked you

He liked that you were funny and unfazed by his popularity

He liked going to your bakery and bothering you

He liked when you'd meet him on his patrols

He liked when you brought him treats or when you both just sat atop skyscrapers chatting about life

He he simply liked you

Hawks had no idea that liking someone would turn into this need to have them in his life

And Hawks was sure it was getting harder and harder to hide this truth from you

You were smart after all eventually you'd have to start noticing how his eyes would always linger a little longer than they should whenever he looked at you

Or how his words wouldn't come out right when he talked to you lately and just maybe you could hear his heartbeat pick up whenever you got too close

Yeah it was undeniable that hawks was head over heels in love with you

Which was exactly why he knew he had to end whatever this was with you

It would be for your protection but damn was this gonna hurt

That night when hawks saw you on your favorite skyscraper waiting for him

His whole body felt heavy

"So I brought these sandwiches I made today, I know you haven't eaten all day so don't try and argue with me." You laughed obvious to what was going on in his head, "a working hero needs his strength."

Hawks sighed looking at you he wish he had figured out how he felt sooner maybe then he wouldn't feel so attached

"Hawks?" You asked after he new responded to you, "You okay?"

"Yeah....I can't do this..." he said

"Do what?"

"Y/n" He said your name with a sternness you had never heard before

"You can't be here anymore, the hanging out with me on patrols. Doing your own vigilant work it's over don't do it anymore or putting you in jail."

You blink confused at where this was coming from, "wha- I mean I know-"

"You can't talk your way out if this either...if I see you up to anything again I'll send you in myself."

"Hawks? Wh-"

He didn't give you any other explanation he only spread his wings and took off but not before walking away and stepping on the lunch you had made him

Leaving you utterly confused

And his own heart aching
