you seem to know a lot about ATL ships (like I'm not even into TM but I enjoyed the Callakarth explanation v much). do you happen to know a bunch about any non slash ships? *coughs intensely and violently* HAYLEX *really light cough*

i know so much about atl ships, canon and not... it’s like a warzone in my memories. 

but i’m actually not too sure where haylex ever really started! it was sadly never a ship that caught on in a big way. there’s hardly any haylex fics in the tag on alltimefanfiction and most are incomplete. there used to be a bunch of REALLY old ones, say 2008--2010 timescales, but they’ve nearly all been deleted. 

i know hayley and alex have had a few encounters over the years but the evidence of that is even less than callakarth. a lot of hayley and alex’s “photos” together are actually just manips... some are more realistic than others. 

i feel the ship probably either started just because h and a were some fic writer’s two faves and they liked the idea of them together, and it caught on purely through fic, or it was because of that time alex interviewed paramore on the red carpet. 

if you even just google alex gaskarth and hayley williams on images though, SO MANY manip photos come up. i want to know the mystery shippers making all these damn manips because some of them are fucking recent. 

(of course, the ones of hayley in the green dress on the VMA carpet are real photos, not manips).
