Potato and Carrot Kugel
The author writes, “All kinds of kugels (sweet or savoury puddings) are made in Ashkenazi households, especially with potatoes, apples or lokshen (vermicelli). Potato kugel can be made with grated or mashed potatoes. Some cooks add a little grated carrot or apple, others like to thicken the kugel with a little flour or matzo meal. Potato kugel can either be baked in the oven or slowly cooked in a large heavy frying pan on top of the stove until it is crisp and golden on both sides. Traditionally, kugels are served for the Sabbath and for Sukkot.”
2 pounds potatoes, peeled and grated
2 large carrots, grated
2 medium onions, grated
3 eggs, beaten
salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 tablespoons melted butter, divided
Place the potatoes, carrots, onions and eggs in a large bowl and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour half of the butter into a large shallow baking dish and swirl it around so the base and sides of the dish are well coated. Tip in the potato mixture and drizzle over the remaining butter.
Bake the kugel in a preheated 350ºF oven for 50–60 minutes or until the top is nicely browned. Serve hot. Serves 4.

Franco Hazana: from Argentina, the RCA player tells the story that now links him to France and Yonne
[ad_1]
On the occasion of our page "Athletes from elsewhere", published this Wednesday, December 18 in the paper version of The Republican Yonne, and where Franco Hazana recounts his beginnings in rugby in Argentina and his desire to play in Europe, the left pillar of RCA lent itself to the reverse exercise for lyonne.fr: what is its link with France,…

who said i love you first? Havana, because of the little sweetheart she is!!
who laughs when the other trips? Havana also, I think? Let’s be real, Hazel is the clumsiest of the two.
who pays the bills? Both, in general. That’s the most peaceful.
which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays? Both. I think holidays are a big deal for both of them!
who’s more clumsy? Hazel, like already stated in one of the previous questions!!
who checks their daily horoscope? Havana, and she’d check Hazel’s too and let her know about it.
who sings louder in the car? Both. Hazel wouldn’t sing around every single person, but with Havana, she just doesn’t care.
who leaves the cap off the toothpaste? Havana. And Hazel probably can not stand looking at it, and put the cap on again—every single time.
who is more up to date in pop culture? Havana… And because of everything Havana would tell her about the latest celebrity gossip, Hazel would come close second.
who insists on going to see the newest movies? Both. I think they both love movies and fangirl at the new released ones!
who cries when the abused animal commercials come on? None of them? They would both find it very sad, though…
who’s the lighter sleeper? Hazel. She probably gets writing ideas over night and it would keep her awake.
who believes in ghosts? Havana, maybe… I don’t really know.
who does the grocery shopping? Hazel! I’m sure she’d see doing groceries as a fun leisure activity.
who updates their facebook status more often? Havana, her life is way more interesting than Hazel’s. She probably has more FB friends and followers too.
