Hazel Fauna has become a ghost
The sound of an opening door always catches the attention of animals, waiting for their people. Hazel volunteered with Payton and Beckett every chance she got. Weather it was at the animal shelters around town or with the Big Sib program.
And her relationship with Beckett has always been grounded in their acceptance of time together. Denver to Raleigh. The living amongst Museum exhibits. The rain that washed the chalk away. Beckett misses Hazel, but he's only as haunted as they always were together. Grateful for the time they had.
Hazel haunts the opening of doors, so whenever a friend feels loss, they know that grief is beautiful for the love that caused it.
