Vetica sent an unmarked parcel to Trafalgar Law. The contents as follows: One file folder containing copies of government documents about Rocinante Donquixote, including pictures. One letter reading: “Dear Surgeon, According to Government records today is your birthday. I stumbled across these while digging around in G-2’s records hall and thought you might find them interesting. You may consider this a bribe and thank you, but if anybody asks they’re not from me. Sincerely, -Former Heart Donor”

An old seagull from the News Coo delivered the parcel safely into Law’s hands. Before he took it onboard the Polar Tang, Law, not expecting to receive any mail, opened up a Room and scanned the gift to uncover what it was. Seconds later, his mind racing with thoughts, Law ignored all greetings and conversations from the members of his crew as he practically sprinted to his room and slammed the door shut. Law locked himself in and placed the parcel gently on his desk. With shaky hands that carefully peeled away the wrapping, Law flopped down into his chair and gawked at the contents of the package.

Pictures of him… Tons of pictures, of which, Law had none. But now he had plentiful to pore over whenever bouts of nostalgia overcame him. More than that, the folder of documents containing information about him, was a godsend. Law found the letter addressed to him and almost ripped the envelope to shreds in his excitement.

Upon reading the letter, Law could not sit still any longer. He wished to examine the documents, but at the same time, a relentless restlessness stirred within him that Law leapt out of the chair and paced the room for minutes. In order to expend his energy, Law did multiple sets of bodyweight exercises. Once he had tired himself out, Law returned to his desk, beads of sweat streaming down his temples. Regardless, Law snatched a blanket and wiped up his perspiration and cleaned his hands before touching the documents.

For the next few hours, Law spent the entire evening perusing through the file. His eyes burned and his stomach growled but he carried on until all the documents had been studied and all the photos had been examined for at least five minutes each. Law paced the room again before settling on taking a long, hot shower and then going back to his room. First, he fetched some snacks and coffee. Thereafter, he looked over all the documents and pictures for the second time. It was nearly dawn by the time he sat down to write a letter of thanks.
