It's that time of the year again. Where everything that could go wrong, will go wrong. Kaius didn't really acknowledge the holiday as much as some but somehow their Psychology Lecturer threw cat ears at them and made them wear it with him. There was no harm in that... it was just.. embarrassing. And then after the lecture he made the class go to the party for the good ol class bonding time. ...Really? Kaius felt like it was just a ruse to make his class of cats come and take a photo for best class costume, or some psychology test he's putting them through.
After mingling around for a bit, Kaius retreated to the walls, with a bar of chocolate in his hands, spending the time watching others instead. It was a nice kind of solitude for the day, people were certainly enjoying themselves, that's for sure. He then notice someone coming up to his side, giving off a very strong, cheerful presence. Turning his head only confirmed his suspicion on who it was, "Hey.. don't laugh at me!" Kaius hastily pulled the cat ears off, readjusting his hair again. He didn't say it but it was nice to have someone he knew around, it was getting more and more uncomfortable being in a room filled with so many people.
And as if he wish was his command, everything went dark. Both of them didn't get to say much more when everyone seem to be experiencing the same thing, making a ruckus out of it. The noises slowly faded and when the darkness finally seeped away, he found himself in a library. One that held so much Medical Theory and Literature it was hard to clear it all. A library he knew so well, and hurt so much to know. Kaius closed his eyes and shook his head, hesitantly walking up to the familiar shelves and touching the books. It... can't be real, right? He hasn't been here for ages. And yet, it looked like nothing changed. He almost didn't notice that Shale was there right beside him. He watched his hand pick up one book, without much thought, almost knowing what it was as it slabbed itself with Greek poems. Flipping the pages, he went to that exact page. That exact poem. And he didn't know why he couldn't stop it. He fingers touched the worn out paper as he heard himself recite it out in Greek. Only halfway through did he mange to will himself into throwing the book aside. He backed away from the book, feeling his back touch the shelf and turned to see Shale. No, no no no, he did not just read that out to her. He did not. He couldn't have. he vowed never to touch his powers ever again. And it was like he couldn't talk, couldn't speak, couldn't apologise to her. But.. she seemed.. fine. Right..? And right before his eyes, within a blink, she appeared, standing right beside Shale. Blank eyed, staring into nothing, quieting murmuring to herself in gibberish. Kaius' lips quivered, a hand pulling at his hair, hoping that pain wouldn't overcome the current one while he just stared. He couldn't move, he didn't want to move.
