About this time last year I was getting inked up by the legendary Sef Samatua out of Humble Beginnings in San Jose. After 5 sessions and almost 20 hours of work, the final product was everything that I expected and so much more. Every fluid line, constant pattern, and unique design tells a story and represents a flow and continuity of who I am and the phases that I've encountered throughout my Life - my Family, being a proud father, the ups and downs, the struggles I've endured physically, mentally, emotionally all while still being able to find strength and humility to learn and grow from every situation thrown at me - both bad and good. To be able to utilize my body as a canvas to tell my Life story is a sacrifice as well as an opportunity that not too many people are willing to take.
