Ahhh yes nothing is better than sad HCs
WHAT IF CHET IS A REALLY GOOD COOK AND HE JUST CASUALLY MAKES BURN COOKIES FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN HE LOVES HER
CHET WOULD BE A REALLY GOOD COOK
MORE CASSALYN HEADCANONS
life without paola
when cassandra gets wrapped up in really negative thoughts, stuff like “oh they don’t really like me what if they never liked me at all i am fundamentally unlikable” …she has paola to go to. and paola is patient with her 75% of the time (because as much as i love paola, she’s not a saint). but cassalyn doesn’t have paola. so when she gets thinking like that, she just…spirals.
cassalyn’s strengths
cassalyn is not the strongest version of cassandra (that goes to hellion) nor is she the most quick thinking in combat (that goes to snowball), but she can hold her own with her inclination and she’s?? such a force to be reckoned with outside of combat. when she gets fired up and passionate about something? just get out of her way because she will have her way.
she’s courageous and clever, and incredibly outspoken. she relies on diplomacy because she’s not the powerhouses that the other cassandra’s are, and she’s not afraid to use her clairvoyance to the limit to figure out how to sway things in her favor.
cassandra & cassalyn
cassandra and cassalyn meeting somehow would be So Bad for the both of them because they’d leave feeling inadequate. cassalyn is literally who cassandra wanted to be, and cassandra is just…so strong and brave- traits that cassalyn doesn’t see in herself
KEEPING ATLAS SECRET
the lengths cassandra went to to keep what happened to atlas a secret is really just astounding. and when she finally decides to fess up, to tell her mother and the rest of the capellans what happened and accept their punishment…brooklyn tells her she can’t, because revealing that would have much wider effects than just the consequences cassandra would face
cassandra & revealing the truth on earth
cassandra will not reveal what happened on capella to anyone easily. honestly, its highly likely she’ll never tell you. there’s a reason she told splinter it, which will hopefully become apparent as that story unfolds. and the ONLY reason she told the boys is because she didn’t want them somehow finding out from someone else.
cassandra may grow close enough to april to tell her the truth about capella, but i don’t see cassandra telling casey or karai...EVER.
this is cassandra’s deepest, darkest secret and she is deeply ashamed of it. the boys knows this, and would know to never tell anyone else about it.
paola finding out
paola wouldn’t know about atlas unless cassandra told her or ava let it slip, and it could go one of two ways
cassandra accepting paola for who she is and letting go of who cassandra wanted her to be, them building up trust and respect and friendship until cassandra finally tells her one night, it all coming out in one long tear filled rush.
ava letting it slip before cassandra’s worked through her issues with paola and cassandra being terrified that paola’s going to think less of her and then getting angry at her own fear, and lashing out. eventually breaking down into tears because she cares immensely about what paola thinks of her, but doesn’t want to care. meanwhile, paola’s just…confused. why would she blame cassandra for something that has nothing to do with paola?
SEASON 2 & THE LOSS OF CASSANDRA’S CLAIRVOYANCE
due to events in the season one finale, cassandra loses her clairvoyance for nearly ALL of season 2. that’s the reason she doesn’t see irma (and the kraang invasion) coming a mile away.
losing her clairvoyance really takes it toll on cassandra- before earth, before becoming the turtles’ mother, cassandra was an augur. that was her whole identity. so…even though she now has the role of mother and other things that are essential to her identity…she still feels like she’s lost this huge part of herself. the first half of the season is this mad scramble to figure out how to get her powers back, and the second half is cassandra learning to deal with life without them.
splinter has to teach her how to read an opponent because she never learned- she always had her clairvoyance to rely on. honestly this leads to cassandra getting pummeled a few times in season 2.
jayjay and owl come in during season 2 because the reason cassandra loses her augur abilities is because someone who was allied with the mad scientist who created them went after cassandra. she injected cassandra with something that blocked her powers- paola and donnie were originally looking for something to reverse this, but then donnie started working on the retromutagen and paola stayed working on a way to get cassandra’s powers back.
when paola does figure it out, cassandra’s powers are very slow to come back. at first, all she can do is ‘double vision’ during stressful situations. she can’t look past a few hours into the future for two weeks after being given whatever antidote they come up with. so she stays behind…during the kraang invasion…with her powers not fully returned. a+ decision cassandra
augur!mikey during season 2 (from @tenderborn‘s augur au)
mikey figuring out he’s an augur during season two, which is the year cassandra lost her clairvoyance. i mean…cassandra is jealous. of course she is. her clairvoyance was such a huge part of her identity and now, as she’s lost hers, her son has figured out that he has that same power.
of course, she feels incredibly guilty about being jealous and tries her best to mask it, but cassandra can’t rely on her clairvoyance to figure out the best thing to say. during that year…she fumbles in her relationships with others, and cassandra ends up snapping at mikey one day. something probably along the lines of “you have this power, why don’t you use it?!”
she immediately backpedals but ends up being honest with mikey about how she’s feeling. and mikey is probably the first person who dares to say “what if your clairvoyance never comes back?”
cassandra starts to let go of her jealously, and it’s quickly outweighed by the pride she has in her son. and because she knows that he’s aware she was jealous of him, she’s very frank about his progress. she doesn’t drown him in praise because that wouldn’t feel genuine.
PYRRAH
the royal family of pyrrah
VICTORIA, THE KING OF PYRRAH, who ascended the throne at such a young age and after her terrible father was assassinated - he’d been unable to cope with capella’s closing and became making bad and cruel decisions. she managed to undo most of his work but is still faced with suspicion and criticism at every turn.
MITSY, THE PRINCESS OF PYRRAH, who appears sweet and silly but is actually pyrrah’s spymaster. she’s foiled more than one plot to overthrow her sister. is actually sweet and silly, but is aware of how it’s perceived and uses it to let people underestimate her so she can get close to them and get them to reveal things they normally wouldn’t.
FREDERICK, THE PYRRITE AUGUR, and the king’s lover. his clairvoyance works by seeing through his lover’s eyes, and therefore is the best equipped to protect her. ends up becoming a father figure to cassandra- a healthy one, that she really fucking needed after theon.
and KEANDRA, THE ADOPTED PRINCE, who is one of pyrrah’s brightest scholars. starting to work through all his guilt about his role in the destruction of capella, and has studied his inclination at length. when he finally is able to use his inclination- when he finally finds something to believe in, all that studying pays off- it takes only a few weeks to acclimated to the feeling of actually performing the techniques he’d been studying for seven years.
top five awful things the previous king of pyrrah did
literally had no idea how to handle capella closing off. he’s like that bad ex who’s constantly trying to get you back and is super clingy. kept sending diplomat after diplomat to capella, the ships were turned away at the space station checkpoints, and then blamed whoever was on the mission
bc of #1, had NO CLUE how to rebuild pyrrah’s economy with the loss of their biggest trading partner. pyrrah is known for it’s mining and manufacture of spaceship parts and stuff, and capella, who is literally ALL ABOUT space exploration and is the best at designing and building ships, traded with them frequently.
tbh he’s probably the one who made the economy so reliant on capella?? his rule was about 800 years long (pyrrites live a really fucking long time) and so he focused so heavily on trade with capella bc he’d thought it’d go on forever despite his aids telling “uh sir this is a fucking terrible idea”
started a war. idk where or with whom (not any planets/species i have currently developed, this is something i gotta develop more) but he started a war, hoping to conquer another planet for it’s resource
paid absolutely NO attention to public works projects and maintiaing his planet?? like…they lived underground in huge networks of caverns bc the atmosphere is toxic and *bill wurtz voice* THE SUN IS DEADLY LASER. but one huge section of cavern collapsed bc THIS ASSHOLE was starting wars and being depressed bc capella wasn’t talking to him anymore and not taking care of his fucking people
bonus: was a dick to his daughters?? placed FAR to much pressure on the crown princess and she honest to god ended up hating him. constantly berated his youngest daughter for never taking things seriously, and while she’s turned her silly and sweet demeanor into a weapon, it’s still something she’s self conscious about
the main conflict on pyrrah
the main conflict on pyrrah is about people wanting to overthrow the monarchy, and cassandra having to figure out what she’s going to do. remember, revolutions and a complete overhaul of the government was the norm on capella. every few hundred years a revolution was practically expected. and not to mention the fact that cassandra’s mother was a revolutionary.
but that’s not how things work on pyrrah- the monarchy had been in place for THOUSANDS of years, and yeah, of course there was shitty rulers- victoria and mitsy’s father among them- but…the great or even mediocre rulers outnumber the shitty ones.
this whole situation challenges a lot of cassandra’s ideal and beliefs about the government. she drags her feet in helping the royal family at first- something that strains her friendship with keandra for a while- since…she’s been brought up to believe that change & revolution is good! cassandra learns a lot from this experience, and her view of the world isn’t so black and white afterwards.
cassandra’s signature outfit
cassandra got her signature blue vest & a tie combo from her time on pyrrah. she was attending a ball there and since the pyrrite augur was wearing a suit, they all thought it’d be a nice symmetry for cassandra to wear one as well. she got complimented all night, and tbh? it was the first time she FELT beautiful since receiving her scar five years earlier
council of augurs
victoria came to dulcie’s funeral, since she and cassandra (and especially keandra) are very close, and cassandra tells her and frederick that thea KNEW that capella was going to be destroyed and said nothing. victoria is appalled and decrees that no future pyrrite augurs will be sent to thea to train. instead, she and frederick start to round up all the augurs they can find to form a council- which is what was in place before atlas fell and killed them all except for thea.
cassandra is a member of this council, but she’s not active really. frederick really the only other augur she’s close to.
MORE HELLION HEADCANONS
in most verses, evelyn makes it off the ship before she dies, dragging herself off so her daughter doesn’t wake up to the sight her mother’s corpse.
in the hellion verse? she doesn’t make it off the ship. she collapses right next to where’s she laid hellion on like a couch. so hellion wakes up, disorientated, and looks down on the ground to see evelyn’s dead body. this really traumatized her and the sight is one she wishes she could forget.
this was one of the events that led up to hellion using her powers purely for herself: her healing abilities did nothing to heal her mother.
hellion & foot verses
if shredder tried to involve hellion in the foot twin’s torture and brainwashing, she’d REALLY start to have doubts. she’d probably? try to free them and escape with them, since this is way past what hellion’s comfortable with. hellion’s violent and rebellious, but not EVIL
