just saw news that HDM has been renewed for the third and FINAL season ;~; i am fear and yet so excited. lowkey wondering that maybe at somepoint in the future they'll do adaptations of The Book of Dust. ~hdmdust!anon

yeah!!!! fear and excited is defs the mood!!! I’m glad we didn’t have to wait long for the announcement but now that a FINAL season is official it’s kinda aaaaaaa ;o;

and mMMmMM that is a thought huh! I reckon they’d at least have to wait until the third TBoD book comes out to properly consider adapting it……and even then, parts of the story so far are uhhhh a bit less family-friendly/prime-time-palatable than the HDM tv series has been, so it could be interesting trying to pitch it for the same audience without changing some stuff (which....y’know, I maybe wouldn’t be mad about)

ANYWAY idk, I haven’t really let myself think seriously about TBoD adaptations happening haha (especially anytime soon); too busy worrying/getting hyped about TAS being on our screens first :’)))))

hey. uh. that um. last episode huh? also: is it me, or did they change how uh. yknow. how Jopari yknow. what happened to him? trying to avoid spoilers, but yeah. i think that was different than the book. ALSO, WHAT THE FUCK MARISA? SERIOUSLY? tbh biggest plot twist was what she did lmao. god there's so much to unpack in that episode dear lord ~hdmdust!anon

ikr, like one very large suitcase……………….(;;ಠ‿ಠ) which fshjsdkfsk genuinely, w h a t  t h e  f u c k. of all the things I expected to see, that certainly was not one of them lmao

but yeah!! john’s thing was different in the book. if I can help you recall without also spoiling stuff: it involved a witch he’d met before. and like, I can understand the change and there was a kind of plus side to this version, although it also made The Earlier Thing slightly more tragic so that’s…...fun :’)

yo that fuckin' new episode tho. The way they're portraying the angels????? HOOOOOOO BOY. can't wait for our fave gays to show up like "ayo we gay, we angels, what'chu gon do about it" and y'know that was a good start but the second part? the s e c o n d part of the episode? ohhhhh boy. *pinches temples in extreme stress even though i've read the book and i know what's going to happen* anyway can't wait :') ~hdmdust!anon

YOOOO sorry for the slow reply again but yESSS what an ep!! that shot of the angel wings was extremely cool, I am so excited to properly see them. so so so excited. (mostly for our fave gays, as you say — I WILL lose it if/when we get even a single glimpse of the B Boys)

and ohhh yeahh, the finale is gonna be a wild one haha. I can’t believe we’ve reached this point already and I also can’t wait, but like...holy shit :’)))

YESSS, the KNIFE is SO GOOD, but on a more, uh. critical note about the knife: I really enjoy how they've made it appear. they really nailed the whole, one side is super sharp and the other is this mystical blade that can CUT INTO OTHER WORLDS. it's just a real good vibe. (and yes. yes i do. got the lil buffalo jus' hanging around c:) ~hdmdust!anon

it is suuuch a nice vibe — like design-wise it’s not too fancy, but it’s not just a plain ol’ thing either. they’ve done an excellent job on that special little knife. and watching it in action too is !!! very very cool

(aaahh I love that! I’m super biased but I think the water buffalo is a great companion to have; I hope you enjoy him (o˘◡˘o))
