Most people assumed that someone like Sungyeol chose to be the way they were, anti-social, awkward and apprehensive. But, truthfully, on occasion, he'd watch people on the street, chatting and full of life, wishing he could be more like that. Yet, despite his small group of companions, he couldn't seem to figure out how not to be strange or elicit weighty silences. There weren't too many people who were willing to put up with someone, whose only conversational skills lied in Pokemon and science. He'd never admit it, but he felt like a burden on his friends and dreaded every text and attempt to hang out.
So, when it was accidentally (damn his floaty thoughts that almost always immediately turned into floaty words) revealed to one Lee Howon that Sungyeol had never been to a club, or drank alcohol, he took personal offense and was determined to drag his inexperienced friend out for a night of fun. Unable to tell anyone no, the video game designer soon found himself dressed up, in the only pair of jeans and casual tee-shirt he had, and taken out on to the streets of Hongdae. The club scene was well-renowned by most, so maybe it wouldn't be as bad as the anxious oil settling in the pit of his stomach was telling him it would be.
It ended up being worse. As soon as the pair entered the loud and packed building, Sungyeol's first thoughts were only why does anyone do this in their free time? It wasn't like him to judge, but what fun was there to be had in being completely hammered and pressed together against someone whose name you didn't even know? Maybe he was just a fuddy-duddy, but it suited the genius just fine. It didn't take very long for him to lose his friend that was much more well-suited for this sort of lifestyle, so Sungyeol hovered near the bar, glass of soda in hand. There wasn't much for him to do, except people watch and wonder where Howon had ran off to.
