As every iota of breath was knocked out of a corporeal form by both words and embrace gifted from the bearer of the name scrawled across his heart, the young manâs spirit soared on blissful, if somewhat shocked, currents. Apologies had been counted on by the nervous fellow and yet, he only received positive responses to the problem heâd been so worried about for years. Surreptitiously, Chanshik pinched his side, half afraid he was dreaming in bed at home. When pain passed through nerves, a wholly appropriate, dreamy grin crossed his features and arms eagerly slid around the others waist, face suddenly bearing the brunt of shy feelings buried in the side of his best friendâs neck. It was far more than heâd dared to hope for. Sungyeol liked him too, a lot even! Tears almost threatened to spill from between sooty lashes, delighted heart feeling lodged in his throat and palms drifting lazily along a lengthy spine. If only just for a moment longer, he desired simply enjoying the pleasant glow shared feelings left him with.
What should he say or do? He hadnât planned for this at all. Pulling back, but not letting go, as Chanshik rather doubted his ability to relinquish whatever tenuous grasp he had on Sungyeol, physical or otherwise, to look into a favorite pair of eyes, cheeks flushed and head inclined slightly bearing a warm smile. âImmediately? This.â Fingers tenderly supported the younger maleâs neck as he carefully meshed their mouths together, opening up slowly and deepening the kiss before letting go to continue bashfully. âLetâs be together. I know we already hang out a lot, but I mean, if you want to, we can go on a bunch of proper romantic dates and stuff like that.â Though, thinking on it, traditional dating fare didnât really seem at all the geeky gamers style and would gladly be abandoned in favor of takeout and nights spent at home with a controller in each of their hands. And maybe lots of kissing and cuddling, a guy could dream. âThis is a pretty awful way to ask too and Iâll be happy to do it properly one day.â A single, deep breath expanded healthy lungs as he steeled himself. âSungyeol, I really, really like and want to be with you, if youâll have me.â
Arms remained around Chanshik, allowing himself to submerge into the moment they were having. Sungyeol couldn't help in smiling to himself, as he felt the other hide in his neck, connecting the action to a similar moment at the Halloween circus. It was difficult to imagine his friend being shy, like himself, but even a stray moment was adorable. Though he was rather confused, having only come to realization a few instances prior, there was no ignoring that this, and any other time they had come to embrace, it simply felt right. Even someone as dimwitted as the space-case genius could tell the differences in between hugging a friend and hugging Chanshik. And it was completely obvious now, that there was a name put to his feelings. Sungyeol certainly felt like a lucky guy for the first time in his not terrible, but completely drab, existence. Just being able to share emotions and small affections with the other was enough to make him feel as if he were floating on air. Even if things were to remain as they currently were, he'd be more than fine with it.
Gosh, Chanshik was really attractive. The knowledge of what caused his skin to feel like liquid, when he looked into his companion's eyes, did not make this any easier to accept. But cheeks flecked over with pink and a dreamy gaze was more than enough to make Sungyeol's heart pound painfully against his chest. It only became worse, once palms grazed his neck, and lips were gifted with yet another kiss. Eyes fluttered shut, attempting to concentrate on movements and copy them. Unfortunately, it didn't work as well as he'd quite like, his kisses sloppy and awkward, but hopefully they'd have more time to work on his technique, so he could be good enough to receive such shows of devotion. When an offer to be romantic partners was made, Sungyeol could have sworn he swallowed his tongue. Already large eyes widened in surprise, completely taken aback by why this wonderful, amazing person would ever want someone like him. "R-really? ...You'd want to date me?" Face buried itself in the warm expanse that was Chanshik's chest, muttering, "I w-want to be with you too..." Already, his brain was swarming with ideas of potential date ideas, wondering about all the possibilities they could get up to, with new titles attached to their names.
