About: Rakari Valran

The Rylothian village of Tril was a single town that was merely part of a larger, secluded society. And there, Rakari was born. He grew up with his mother as lower-class members of their village. His father had left when he was an infant, going off-world for reasons unknown to Rakari.

Rakari met a young girl his age: Talani Valran, daughter of the wealthier families in town. They played together often, becoming friends quickly, and Talani began to teach him how to fight with a staff. Eventually she would urge him to join her own training classes.

The other members of Talani’s clan initially opposed someone like Rakari in their home, but they grew accustomed to his presence over the years. Eventually, at twenty-one years old, Rakari and Talani wed. Rakari and his mother moved into house Valran, Rakari himself adopting his wife’s surname.

A year later, Tril was attacked by a group of off-world raiders. They burned homes, destroyed property, and slaughtered civilians. Those whom they deemed worthy enough to sell off into slavery they captured, hauling them back to their ship. Talani was abducted.

Severely injured in the raid, Rakari suffered a number of injuries; one of the worst being losing the ability to speak. As soon as he could, he scavenged survival equipment and began his trek into the desert, heading out to where locals believed there to be a spaceport.

Rakari stowed away upon a traveling trader’s ship. Now, he’s out in the galaxy searching for his wife, and discovers new and mysterious abilities along the way.
