To all the people who think that representation doesn’t really matter.

It does.

Galen is a side character in Dispatch and one of the few Punjabi Sikh characters i’ve seen in media, if not the only one.

Despite getting 5 seconds of screen time he is very important to me.

I get so excited when I see Indian characters in media and I feel elated when I see Punjabi characters, especially when they’re portrayed correctly.

Like yes, Galen’s from Florida!! A lot of Punjabi people live outside of India. Yes he has a long beard and a turban and a khalsa on his turban, those a symbols also represented by like half the men in my family. But does his religion define him? Nope! It’s a part of him, yes, but he’s also just a guy who actually seems like he works and lives and has hobbies.

He’s a person outside of being shoehorned in representation. He makes sarcastic quips, he has a prosthetic finger, he doesn’t really impact the plot, sure, but he speaks, he matters, and he’s just like.. A human person.

I love Galen. That’s one of my people and I think he’s awesome.

the way i've been saying exactly everything this video said for so. fucking. long. mike is the heart, and that's what s5 should've been about to end the show. they decided to recognize him as the heart only in the epilogue and it annoys me so bad. what was the whole point of "without heart we'd all fall apart" ?!??

Think I just kept loving the ideal version of Eric in my head, and not the real kid. But he’s so much more than that, isn’t he?
