Good afternoon to the Rick fuckers, Morty fans, Beth lovers, Jerry kissers and Summer enthusiasts. The dawn of another season means it's time for a merchandise roundup...and Rick and Morty are making their first appearance on these elaborately carved ashtrays.

Season one is alive in this head shop, which offered the same image on a rolling tray. Rick's here to tell you about GRAPE! 🍇

Another season one reference! Admittedly, this moment WAS pretty cute.

If you're starting to get bored, these grinders mixed it up a little. I love merchandise with vibrant colors. Say what you will about the show, but it's definitely not dull.

I guess we're still not tired of that "IT" crossover--and now it's making an appearance on the underside of the pipes. Seems kind of pointless to me, but maybe glass tables are popular with stoners.

The store had more Rick and Morty merchandise, buuut...one of the employees asked me to stop taking pictures. I've never figured out how to explain that I'm not a thief or a secret shopper--I just like Rick and Morty! Unfortunately, trying to explain that would probably make it worse, so it's best to just cross that location off the Egglist.

Yesterday, I visited the smaller mall in my area. Hot Topic isn't the best place to find Rick and Morty apparel at this point, but they did have a new air freshener. Now your car can smell like a bubbling vat of acid!

And, finally: one of the "nerdy" stores had a couple of new (used) DVDs. Season four isn't my favorite, but I do think it has one of the best marketing assets.

Weirdly enough, I've also seen that illustration on a backpack. Seems a little gory for school, but OK.

Looking at these DVDS made me think about how far Rick and Morty has come in the past 13 years. Fake nihilism, sci-fi hijinks and Rick's cruelty made the show famous, and the writers could've coasted on that forever. Instead, they've taken the show into completely new directions that make you question everything you thought you knew about the characters. Let's hope this continues in season nine...they've all got a lot of growing up to do!
