I’m being very vulnerable with showing my opinions and headcannons on peridot/j

Reasons for liking this character: her voice, her demeanor, her smarts, mostly her voice and character development

Why is she childish: shes learning, shes also scared, and not to mention this is her first time acting like a person and not some mindless machine thats used for orders, and where does she learn how to be a person? Steven, a child. OF COURSE SHES CHILDISH NOT TO MENTION IT IS HEAVILY IMPLIED SHE IS AUTISTIC.

Implied stuff: autistic, aro/ace (i think of her as gray aromantic and sex favorable asexual)

Personal head-cannons: 

she tries fusion once (platonically or romantically bro I’m a multi shipper) with Garnet because Garnet is the mother of all fusion but she genuinely found it so scary just kind of turning into something new like that, having another person in her head that they unfused and she refused to do it unless it was absolutely necessary and even then she hated every second of it, no matter the person.

Her opinions about earth tradition and earth drama are heavily based on others thoughts, but back on home-world she was one of the more outgoing and outspoken peridots, the one that sparked debates and swayed opinions. This is not to say all of her thoughts on earth are based on others, she learned to love earth on her own, she developed that opinion on her own, but things like weddings, eating, swimming, more earthly activities are based on other gems and Steven, but deep down shes really neutral about like everything on earth past her love for it.

She picked up gardening, and grew a love for all the flowers

And with it she grew a hatred of homeowners associations because she is on a gardening type thing online and hears many complaints from humans about HOAs, Lapis never hears the end of it if Peridot founds a bad or good post (like that person who made their yard legally a sanctuary thing for animals and plants) about HOAs and while Lapis gets a bit tired of it, she likes it

Lapis and Peridot ended up as queer platonic friends after learning that word

Bismuth and peridot are good friends

Amethyst and Peridot are in a relationship

Garnet and Peridot are close friends, but they did have a cute fling for a few days because Peridot wanted to learn about love and relationships, before she got with Amethyst (and because she wanted to know if the stuff she did with Garnet was stuff she wanted to do with Amethyst), which led to Sapphire and Ruby having a pile of stuff Peridot gifted to them those days because thats what Peridot thought love was like. Garnet liked the days, they had a nice time together and eventually dropped the roleplay and just had a conversation about Peridot’s feelings for Amethyst which made them close

Peridot gives Lapis, Garnet, Bismuth, and Amethyst Valentines presents, considering she has had some type of relationship with them wether physical or emotional she feels she has to give them gifts on this day despite being corrected

Pearl and Peridot, are complicated but Pearl actually treats her like she isn’t just funny, sure Amethyst does that too but sometimes Peridot doesn’t feel like she’s being taken seriously, but with Pearl she has a nice time with, usually involving puzzles or robotics. 

She learned what sicknesses are and instead of being grateful that gems didn’t get those she made an entirely new strand of bacteria(?) to affect gems so they had to suffer with Steven/Connie when they were Sick

No fucking idea how she did that but she figured it out 

Once her wonder for the world was satiated she mellowed out mostly and now is back to regular Peridot like she was before, still funny with a hint of maturity but pretty neutral with tone

basically not nerfed as much anymore

She hates gloves and shirts with a burning passion

Socks, shoes and shorts are fine

Its something about gloves inhibiting her movement and shirts being too tight/too close to her neck

she still loves aliens

Beelzebub Relationship Headcannons

He’s a lovable dork.

May seem inconsiderate at times, but if he notices his S/O looking at his food he offers a bite.

With an S/O he buys more food than his usual bulk to share. However, he doesn’t mind eating their share if they’re not hungry!

Loves it when S/O joins him in the gym. He pushes himself a bit harder to try and impress them.

He’d encourage S/O to sit on his back as he does pushups. He’s just that type of guy.

Belphie tags along with Beel and his S/O more often than not. According to Belphie, they’re the only ones he can deal with.

When Beel isn’t eating or working out he’s the best person to cuddle up to. He’s a rather large demon, so he can easily engulf his S/O in his arms.

He often has S/O help him with his schoolwork. He has the habit of distracting himself with food, so he asks S/O to keep him in check.

Noriko’s room is pretty cluttered, however despite her messiness, the spaces she has are usually set into sections. For example, the place near the window is usually for plants, the place near her bed and desk usually has books, and the place near her closet usually has clothes and her swords. 

 ~♡ - romantic headcanon~

Noriko is actually pretty clueless when it comes to romance as when she was younger all she had to go by were romance books that she stole during raids on the outlying villages of Kirigakure. 

~♥ - family headcanon~

The Ayaka family like a good portion of other families from Kirigakure are descendants of supernatural beings. However, overtime the original blood line has begun to thin. Now most modern descendants usually have sharp nails. Also, during the warring ages, the Ayaka family used plants, mainly flowers, to send secret messages to other clans they were working with usually using the symbolism of them to tell the message.
