In season 10, due to everything going on with the water, all the hermits have become some sort of aquatic hybrid. Tango has become part electric eel and really does not appreciate his new electrical abilities messing up his redstone.
- headc-anon
"When I said your abilities were shocking, I didn't mean literally shock me."
Zedaph's hair and wool sticks up in all directions, singed at the edges and glaring at him. Tango winces. "Is this the thanks I get for helping you with your redstone?!"
"I didn't mean to, it's kind of out of control!"
Zedaph tries to brush his hair down, to no avail. "Well control it harder!"
"You try being a- wait a minute," Tango stops, squinting. "What did you turn into? The water magificated everyone, why are you still a sheep?" Zedaph snorts.
"Oh Tango, do you never learn?" He says, shaking his head. "When was the last time I ever joined in on server-wide magic?"
Zedaph beams, "If I don't want something to happen to me, it simply doesn't!"
i can imagine that lucas definitely has social media, but rarely posts. he just uses it as something he can pass time on. however the mc is where you’ll find the good stuff. i can just see her posting like the small things on her insta story: a view from the car as their driving to a fancy restaurant for a date, mirror picture of the two of them in the bathroom doing face masks, the both of them in the kitchen attempting to cook, or even the both of them chilling on the couch...
"you posted us, doing facemasks?" He shakes his head, grazing a thumb on his forehead, arms folded on his chest. "I look ridiculous..."
"you look mad fit, like you always do..." your smirk reaches your eyes as you lean over, planting a kiss on his forehead. “now, scooch, i wanna watch what you’re watching.”
“it’s a documentary... it’s going to be a snooze fest for you.”
“in that case, better keep myself entertained.” you pull out your phone from your pocket, aiming to frame lucas’ confused look, directly behind you.
“seriously? i’m wearing...” he sighs “nevermind...” he can’t contain a smile while you shoot a pic to post immediately on your stories.
“i’m glad you’re accepting it. you’re too hot not to make an appearance...”
his eyes roll before he catches you in his arms, biting your shoulder to lure a chuckle. “stubborn...”
Hello headcanon anon is back! Sorry, I’ve been busy with my job plus my switch and zelda. But anyway, sleep headcanons now! I headcanon that Noctis has insomnia, he finds it really hard to sleep at night but if he does fall asleep, he tends to have bad dreams. Gladio is a heavy sleeper with the magic ability to close his eyes and fall asleep. Ignis is a light sleeper, through and through and it takes him a while to fall asleep. Prompto is a heavy sleeper that shifts around a lot and dreams. :)
Aw dude I was just about to call upon you! Talk about timing! Hey! (by Zelda do you by chance mean BotW? I haven’t played it myself, since I don’t have a switch, but I heard it’s loads of fun. I’ve been recently trying to beat the Oracle games)
I personally think that Noctis sleeps like the dead and that Gladio is a relatively light sleeper (sometimes he snores loud enough to wake himself up) but Noctis having nightmares honestly makes so much sense. He’s constantly tired and always trying to nap in the car cause he doesn’t get any sleep at night. He doesn’t want to get up early because that might be another hour of (fitful, but nonetheless) sleep.
Buuut I love these, seeing a different take on the bros. Thank you so much! (And sorry for the late posting, I put this in my drafts because I wanted to add more to it and legit forgot about it. I’m trying to clear my drafts out now; remind me to never put non-request things in my drafts, lmao. My drafts box is like the equivalent of development hell.)
Zedaph is a being deeply connected to the void. It's almost like part of him. If he so chooses, he can connect to the deep below, merging his senses with it. Seeing through every part of the void and feeling anything that falls it. Mostly not that useful in the overworld, since it's all just bedrock, but it helps him navigate the end a little better.
Letting Tango into his void hole is, uh, a bit more intimate that it seems.
-headc-anon
Having a connection to the Void isn't as cool as it sounds.
This is all Zedaph's opinion, sure, but merging senses with complete nothingness isn't exactly the most thrilling experience. With how rarely things fall in there, he's pretty sure he'd be more excited watching paint dry. Or watching Impulse tear down his storage system again.
(This is ignoring the whole thing with the Boatem hole that one season. Not that Zed ever said anything about it— what was he supposed to say, stop flinging yourself into that hole, I can feel it? That just sounds weird.)
(It also entails talking to Grian. Which is arguably worse.)
So, uh. Point is, sometimes Zedaph... Forgets.
"Alright, Zed, you ready?" Tango asks, snapping him out of his thoughts. Zedaph blinks.
He stares down at the small hole, watches and feels the soft, droning hum of the nothingness wash over him— not quite beckoning, but familiar nonetheless.
"Yeah," He replies, giving his elytra a tug. Still there. He grins, then, "Race you there!"
"Hey-!"
Zedaph dives into the Void.
It feels like nothing. No air rushes by as he takes off, no cool breeze despite the thrust of his rockets. There's no resistance, not like swimming but not quite like flying, either. Not hot nor cold, just. Space.
Zedaph hums, it's really quite nice.
Until.
He shivers, the weird something's here sensation itching at the back of his mind. Something hot. Burning. Fast.
"Something of the Tek variety," Zedaph mutters to himself. He uses another rocket, eyes scanning the ceiling— "Aha!"
Zedaph taps his communicator, "Found your hole!"
"Already?!" Tango sputters, "I can barely see anything down here!"
Zedaph only laughs, feeling the paths Tango takes like a line in his mind, circling and looping around. "See harder!"
"Easy for you to say!"
Zedaph gasps when he shoots through the hole, both because of the sudden rush of air and because—
"Ow!"
—his face has become very well-acquainted with some rough stone. Ouch.
In the midst of checking if his nose is still intact, Tango speaks, his voice crackling through the communicator.
"Zed," He calls out, more than a little frantic. "Little help here?"
"One sec..." Zedaph groans, "I think I broke my face."
Tango laughs, "What, more?"
"You should be nicer to your savior, Tango."
"I'll be nicer when you tell me where my hole is!"
Zedaph huffs a laugh, smothering a joke. (He deserves an award for that.) He furrows his brow, focuses on Tango's location, his presence beaming like a star in space. He taps his communicator, "Alright, turn around, and fly left."
"Aye aye, captain!"
So Zedaph guides him, helps Tango soar through the Void until, finally—
Tango's voice crackles through the speaker, "I see it!"
Zedaph stands back, "You see it?"
"I see it!"
"Then get in here!"
Tango comes shooting through the hole, only narrowly avoiding colliding with Zed as he whizzes past—
"Ack!"
Zedaph laughs, full-bellied and pointing. "Broke your face!"
Tango flops backwards, clutching his nose.
"Shut up, jerkface!"
"You said you'd be nicer to me!"
"Not when you're laughing at me!"
They bicker until Zedaph's lungs hurt from laughing, their respective faces all fixed up and rockets replenished. As they gear up for the next attempt, (this time with dangling sheep!) Tango turns to him.
"By the way, how'd you know where I was down there?" He asks, head tilted in question. "You couldn't see me, could you?"
Zedaph shrugs, "Yes and no?" He rolls his shoulder, then fastens the straps of his elytra over his chest. "Not with my eyes, but, you know, my Void thing—"
"Your what thing?"
"My—" Zedaph stops. "My Void thing." At Tango's baffled silence, "You do know about my Void thing, yes?"
Tango's eyes are wide, then, "Ohhhh, yeah, your Void thing. I totally— psh, of course I know about— what the heck are you talking about?!"
Zedaph blinks. Stares.
"...Did I forget to mention it?" He asks, sheepish. Tango balks.
etho is more in tune with decked out than any of the other players are. second only to the dungeon master himself. and its starting to do something to him.
nothing that would interfere with the game, of course. but when outside it, he finds himself moving swifter, finding just a little more loot than normally expected when he goes exploring. ravagers give friendly headbutts instead of attacking. hes always been pretty good with cold, but now hes perfectly comfortable below freezing and can walk across powdered snow without leather boots.
a more obvious side effect is that whenever he touches fire, it turns blue. hes always had an affinity for blue flame but now he doesnt even have to burn diamonds for it!
ignore the streaks of icy blue in his hair. ignore the sharpened teeth hidden below his mask.

THIS IS SUCH A COOL (ha) CONCEPT . etho slowly becoming more and more part of the dungeon without realizing, the vex practically just dancing around him when he passes by...
tango is a blaze hybrid. tango can get killed by snow golems without any fancy contraptiony nonsense. tango can, in fact, be killed by anyone throwing a whole lot of snowballs at him, a fact that impulse and zed were delighted to find out.
- headc-anon
hi headc-anon!! missed ya !
DHDJDNDNDNDJ im just imagining zed or impulse doing that thing where you shove ice down someone's back and tango just keels over in shock and also , blaze
zedaph is dead. he died back in season six, when zedeath possessed him, and he never quite came back right. hes a walking corpse, not exactly a zombie but very much undead. hes just a corpse that doesnt rot. his internal organs dont work, he doesnt breathe, he has no heartbeat and doesnt give off body heat.
not even he knows why hes not permadead. by all logic, he should be.
- headc-anon
(side note, are you enjoying the horror? is it too much? should my next one be pure crack instead)
(DEFINITELY enjoying the horror, feel free to send whatever genre of hcs you want! hope youre enjoying these little one shots :])
Turns out, being possessed by Death has its side effects.
It's surprisingly easy to adjust to the whole being undead thing, hell, it's not like he even really thought about breathing back when he was alive. It's easy enough to forget, really. Even the Hermits accepted the information pretty fast.
In retrospect, the Hermitcraft Server is already pretty weird.
It's not the craziest thing to ever happen. Cub and Scar eventually make deals with the Vex, Tango goes from fire to ice, Mumbo is doing Mumbo things, and Zedaph is undead. Par for the course, if you ask him.
Most might think that his obsession with death came from the fact that he is a walking corpse. (A pretty good-looking one, considering the whole corpse aspect- but that's just him.) And they would be mistaken.
He's always had quite the fascination with death. But now that his organs and other squishy bits don't exactly work... It's not like he has to worry about pain anymore.
All this to say, while he's always had an interest in death, (is that odd? a lot of things about him are odd.) actually being dead only enhanced that. Which is what lead to consensual death loops and becoming Tango's Decked Out Testing Dummy.
It's quite fun!
More people should try being undead, Zedaph thinks. Cleo was right, being alive goes out of fashion quick.
(Speaking of Cleo, they were the first one to notice his change.
"Does it scare you?" They asked, sunlight glinting off of the exposed bones in their cheek. "The fact that you should be dead."
Zedaph shrugged. Maybe it should, but...
"Not really," He replied, "I'm still here, aren't I?"
"Not really a big fan of what I should be, to be honest. Where's the fun in that?"
Cleo hummed, a smile on their lips. "D'you think there's a reason you're still here and not six feet under?"
Zedaph laughs.
"I like to think I'm just too stubborn to stay dead.")
