Do you think that Siffrin and Loop have an inside joke about "not seeing eye to eye" since when they're face to face they're looking a the other's blind spot

after all the post-canon angst runs its course, they're going to be insufferable together. those two would know each other's thought processes perhaps too well

just from the Eye repertoire, loop jokingly sneering that siffrin is "really the apple of my eye, aren't you, stardust?" whenever he does something mildly irritating, or siffrin calling loop's light "an eyesore" when they're being a bitch. "someone has to keep an eye on you" is used frequently, so is "turning a blind eye". the fight, once they're ready to joke about it too, being called "a vague attempt at an eye for an eye"

it would probably permeate into their regular, non-ironic conversations too, purely out of sheer habit, goddammit. one trying to pry a conversation without deflections out of the other and demanding they "look them in the eye", or them getting separated and one exhaling the other is "a sight for sore eyes" when they meet up again. eye. close enough

i need them dead. someone deal with them

If someone should have crazy dad lore it should be Siffrin, he'd be the type to do the wildest shit ever and chalk it up to "must be a culture thing"

i mean hey! maybe it's a thing! in places no longer disclosed to mortals..... but yeah i think the type of lore siffrin has is like. so off-the-wall. and it's so fun to make up, even on the spot! observe

they know how to make three different kinds of alcohol. you could wake them up in the middle of the night and tell them to recite the banker's monologue from the poterian play column halls and they'd do so perfectly, word for word, without a stutter, in like three languages. they got kidnapped once (they do not remember the resolution of this). they fell asleep on a boat and didn't wake up in time for their port, ending up on another continent. they have the entirety of the over-century-long mwudan vaugism art movement memorized, with all its artists and most important artworks -incredulously so, given their memory (aggressive cramming for a competition in school survived even the memory wipe). they had a pet seagull named shovel. they were a part of a pyramid scheme once.

he has no metric on what kinds of things are considered normal; the party is the first group he's kept to for a longer time in a whileee

this is so great and correct

her zone would be incredible. she enters it immediately as the timer stars, does pixel-perfect actions in a way that makes them look effortless, and doesn't speak at all. she's speedrunning the most violent game o ever but her face is all serious and unflinching. she finishes a run and immediately begins shaking like a wet chihuahua, "aaaahhhh, that was intense!!!"

i need her silly. she can't be the only normal-passing person in the party

raises my paw for headcanon thursday. bonnie and siff going through old cookbooks together and trying to find food that sounds familiar to siffrin so he can try and make things from their home. or at least familiar. a vague feeling of deja vu as he stirs a pot of a very vague memory of a parent cooking with them. sniles with my teeths.

i love that lots!! i can definitely see siffrin tasting what they're making and muscle memory kicking in, and them going it needs more of this and that, even if it wasn't in the recipe. and ouuuu teaching bonnie some culture-specific stuff because, judging by their curiosity in ka buan cuisine, they're hungering for it

i think it might also be a bit relieving for them both post-canon; loop isn't just a discarded version, siffrin isn't just a copy, they both have different things going on in some aspects and are people in their own rights. but are also still similar enough to really understand each other!! i like that a lot :}

what about loop remembering island but not siffrin. what if loop was the only one. what if only loop could come back. what if

sighs. you know i need to make this kinda about sifloop now. it's their fault they're too abnormal

i don't know what's worse here! is it siffrin not being able to remember despite wanting to recall all that they forgot so much, and loop can do it, why can't he, why can't he also do that, what's wrong with him (he'd somehow spin it as an issue with him specifically. this is known). and also him not being able to follow them - doubly tragic with longing for the island and being a fucking codependency master. but loop deserves it, after everything they went through! so it's fine! it's fine. it's literally fine. it doesn't feel like there's a light-devouring hole in their chest. everything's great

ooor is it loop, feeling even more alienated and alone, torn even further away from being a siffrin by the universe, because siffrins don't remember. and wow, they're really not a siffrin anymore, are they. but also, being deemed the more "special one" for once and getting to see stardust's point of view, and oh, it's not fun at all being the one in the center and leaving the other behind at all, actually! that's not good!

and loop remembers and it does feel like a blessing, yes, because they wanted it so much for so long but... what are memories in an echo chamber? they can't share them. and they can't help him anymore. he can't retrace their steps this time. they can either reconnect with what they've longed for since before they became like this or forsake siffrin. and he'd say nothing about it, and how much it must hurt. why was it them? they don't deserve this. it feels wrong

Hello! ISAT headcanon for your consideration!!

When Isabeau was younger, like really *really* young, he had a massive astronomy (and astrology but shhhh) phase started by a visit to the forgotten island. All that knowledge was erased as soon as it was... well, forgotten, but it does explain how he was able to scrape together that much lost knowledge for his Act 3 friendship quest! Muscle memory! And also, he gives me the vibes of someone who had a space phase as a kid.

ohhhh you're so right, he does give off that vibe! would totally memorize the planets and, once he got bored of that, he'd switch to memorizing all of jupiter's moons. he'd also totally be a pluto planet status defender despite knowing logically that it doesn't qualify. but he'd so want it to!! it's a big dilemma for a little smart kid with a lot of emotional intelligence and compassion (even for celestial objects)

ohhh imagine if he recollects some of this when talking to siffrin, like it's riding a bike after a very long time. siffrin would be so excited and probably emotional about having someone else to talk to about this that not only doesn't dismiss it as something made up but also talks back!! and knows stuff without siffrin telling them!! ahhh i like this lots thank you for the ask!!
