Watch Me Bloom is a canon divergent and post-canon exploration of Hot Pants. It deals with a lot of her trauma, it's fallout, and how she navigates things coming out of the race.

enigma is my specialest blorbo. i am very normal about him. this is but One permutation of interpretation that i like to play with but it is in fact the funniest: Normal Guy (Totally!)

I like to imagine that the place between worlds is a very dark world with very little in the way of natural light. Skylands however is a very bright world in comparison, so he's developed some issues as a result of exposure (not necessarily Light element specific though, but a certain somebody certainly thinks of it that way.

Vision vise, he compensates in combat situations using the Traptanium Sigil's focus, the eye. It is able to see quite far and also detect fluctuations in minute movements, which has always been part of Enigma's style of fighting, but it has grown to replace his vision as time carries on.

Full ten fingers! It's something that I've started to do for non-Skylands native characters as a small detail. I've yet to update my sheet for Star Strike, but she shares this detail too.

The first few weeks of arriving in Skylands, all non-Skylands entities have a very difficult time sleeping for dream magic reasons. Though, realistically, there are a plethora of other more complicated reasons for the insomnia persisting so long after his arrival.

Nonbinary. His people don't observe gender or sex as a binary, so their language doesn't either. When he arrived in Skylands, he was sort of assigned male by Snap Shot upon their meeting (not like maliciously more in a /lh kind of way), but doesn't care enough about himself to correct the record.

There will be no better opportunity to go bananas over it, but Enigma has a really funny way of fighting for a magician?? Like it relies on physicality much more than magic! It's literally this

I go back and forth with the face covering thing, but for this variation of Normal Guy, it's a tradition from back home that he still does. But now, it has a secondary use as a layer of protection against the brightness of Skylands. But he does not like being Perceived that way. Still very private about his appearance. Which has a cyclical effect of people wanting to see -> him getting more reclusive -> people wanting to see.

It's a little difficult for me to show with the doodles, but because he is so private about his appearance, he cuts his own hair, or at least he did until he and Star Strike got closer. Now they are buddies that take care of each other.

My personal vision for the human forms of the birds is that they're varying levels of harpy-like. Visibly monstrous enough to where you'd stare and nod and be like "yeah. thats not a human lmao."

For Albert, he's the perfect blend of human and bird. Can hide his features as he pleases, but has a lot of traits similar to that of your average crow. He likes collecting trinkets and giving trinkets to people, he enjoys mischief, he's capable of mimicking accents due to how important accents are for crows, etc.

I love this guy tl;dr.

Doing an "anime April" feature thing for Instagram and I wanted to post this here bc I loved my artwork of Mina and Akira.
