Liam acts, mostly to himself, like the trust is not important or useless. The truth is that the trust is one of the most important things to him, also If he can't control his feelings about it. He curses himself because, due to his past, he must not have something called trust in every possible way.
He has not a single clue about how approach a woman who shows interest for him.

It's reasonable think that he does his work to pay his debit doing something good, indeed, one of the other sentiment he hides are the guilts for betrayed and killed his 'brothers'.

When he mutates to a wolf, the wounds show only when he return in his human form. Before the transformation, he feels just a sort of pain, like If his body is collapsing. Sometimes the wounds are worst than usual, he doesn't know on what it depends, however he can't die but only suffering for them, because they aren't healed from his regenerative power: probably one of the mistakes of the scientists during the experiments.
It's not clear what is exactly his beast, because whatever what it is, it's created in laboratory and he can't have certainties about what the scientists exactly did. However, it's closely linked to the emotions, and that could explain some of the brainwashing, it's feeded from negative emotions.
There are some not clear points about Liam, his forms and nature, because when he killed the remaining members of the equip he doesn't know anymore their base and he didn't recuperate useful files.
