Yingshanosaurus - who is more than disappointed - is a Stegosaur from the Shaximiao Formation of China, living about 155 million years ago, in the Kimmeridgian age of the Late Jurassic. It is known from a partial skeleton that was quite fragmentary, especially the skull, and that one specimen of the genus has been sadly lost. It was assigned to the Stegosaurinae, meaning the group of Stegosaurus and its closest relatives, but that cannot be corroborated given the fossil is lost. It is thought to have had large spines on its shoulders, but this is of course impossible to truly know, and small, low plates on its back.
