I've seen a walkthrough of your game and loved the concept and art style! Also, I was wondering how's the production of the game and what made you decide to make Sightless?
Oooo there’s a walkthrough? If it is ok, can I have the link? [You’re also reminding me that I should make a post about the updated let’s play playlist!!] Thank you a lot though, I’m glad you enjoyed it!!! ; v;
As for the production; I actually moved overseas a few months back, so I focused a lot of that time getting settled in? I just recently got my Patreon running again [where a lot of the updates go], but I can give some highlights based around what everyone who’s seen the demo knows!
I sketched some more for day 4, but have held it off in favor of finishing a side route [it relates to Sena and interacting with the tree on day 1]
debugging A LOT of glitches that aren’t in the demo per say, but are present after I’ve made new content.
Making sure music plays at x event, having day counters slide in smoothly, along with any other codes that aren’t glitchy per say, but don’t look as professional, I suppose!
There’s a code put in for caring for plants. It’s 90% working now.
As for the decision, it’s been something I’ve wanted to do since I was in high school! I’ve had several bouts with making this game, but now I’m finally at a point where I can actually work on a game and keep working on it, even if it’s not 300% perfect [but that is what learning is about!]
The concept has changed over the years, but ultimately, I really love the idea of telling stories and getting to know the characters through them. Sightless will have plenty of endings to explore that, but at the same time, it’s also going to be something that you don’t have to get every ending to feel ‘done,’ I hope! [There will be ways of making it easy to get them though, for those who do want to complete it 100%].
Thank you for your question!
