is currently staring into a bakery window, drooling down her lips as she looked at something tasty displayed. / xD HI!

It's pretty clear that she wants something from the bakery that she's stopped in front of. Ichigo does wonder what it is that she's staring at with such intensity, so he bites the bullet and moves closer to stand beside her and skims over the displayed goods until he thinks that he's caught her gaze on a doughnut that, admittedly, does look good by his standards. He clears his throat to get her attention, and then gestures towards it.

"Y'wanna stop in here to get something to eat?"

Orihime grabbed a cake from behind her in her bag, in a plastic container she struggled with the lid at first before popping it off with a loud click. ' There we go! ANYWAY! Happy Birthday Kurosaki! ' Orihime beamed as she placed two candles into the cake, not numbers just plain candles and lit them. ' Here is to another year being you! Happy birthday to youuu.' She sang but stopped thinking he might not like that. ' Uh make a wish! wait -- what if you don't do that either...? ' / she's trying sdlfkjsd

Ichigo watched Orihime as she struggled with the plastic container, he was going to offer to help when it popped open. Spotting the cake he'd loft a brow, unsure what to really expect. It looked nice though, all things considered. "Thank you, Inoue, but you didn't have to do anything for my birthday."

He told his friends that every year. Yet, every year without fail, they manage to get together for his birthday. It was nice but he never admitted that. He knew everyone was busy living their lives, or they had relationships that were budding. Anything. They weren't required to stop by with anything for his birthday.

While yes, he'd lived through a great many things. A few wars, some other smaller fights, some larger ones. It was utter chaos at one point. He was just glad to be alive. HIs friends could simply send him a happy birthday text and it'd make him happy. "As long as it's not intentionally off-key like goat-chin does, I don't mind." Isshin was always extra, and that led to many people wondering how the hybrid and his sisters were even somewhat normal.

' Hey Ichigo! ' She waved at the other, running to him she panted heavily, as if she was searching for him for awhile. ' Happy Birthday! I don't have a cake, but If you'd like I can buy you something! anything you want just name it.' Orihime beamed her arms behind her back.

       “Inoue…?” 

He cringes, entire body tensing up as she narrowly dodges a car, auburn hair flying behind her. She looks winded, as if she’s been looking all over for him, and for a second all he can do is stare. 

        She remembered.

There’s a small shake of his head before he glances away, almost embarrassed by the fuss.

           “You really don’t have to buy me anything, Inoue.” 

He means it. He knows she’d spend more than she should if he let her. 

                “But if you really want to do something,” He raises the phone in his hand, the short shopping list still on the screen. “I’m running some errands. You could keep me company for a while.” 

A faint smile tugs at the corner of his mouth.

         “Or if you have some bread lying around…”

Kaien scrambled backwards. This girl was...odd. Did no one in the world of the living have any sense of personal space?! The Lieutenant rubbed at the top of his spikey head, nervously chuckling. There was so much he didn't want to say but he felt as if he could trust this young lady.

Kaien then pressed his finger to his nose, bending it a bit. A comical expression of turning his face more smooth, styling his hair like Isshin's but failing miserably. He got the broken nose right though. It was how he last remembered his Uncle. ❛ You seen a guy walking around with a broken nose? Pretty young lookin'? ❜
