‼️Why some rootworkers refused to keep the Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses in the house?
1. They believed the seals could attract spirits
That book contains a lot of names, seals, and invocations.
Some elders believed that just reading certain names out loud could call #spiritual attention.
So the thinking was:
“If you’re not trained to handle what answers, don’t invite it in your house.”
Because of that, some people kept the book:
• in a shed
• wrapped in cloth
• or at a separate altar space
2. It wasn’t considered a casual reading book
A lot of older rootworkers treated it like ritual material, not bedtime reading.
They would only open it:
• during prayer
• during protection work
• or when studying specific Psalms
The idea was respect and intention.
3. Some believed it carried “heavy energy”.
You’ll hear elders say certain spiritual tools carry weight. Not evil, just serious.
The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses got that reputation because of:
• angel names
• spirit seals
• ceremonial instructions
Some workers simply felt it was too strong to leave sitting around the house.
4. Protection first, always.
Many #rootworkers said if you study that book you should already have:
• strong prayer habits
• spiritual protection
• grounding in scripture
Without that foundation, elders would say leave it alone for now.
