hey guys til that vaping is the common link in a string of hospitalizations. it’s unknown what compound is causing the severe respiratory distress, since not all of them were smoking nicotine, but some of them weed.
someone’s also died from the 'unknown lung illness.’ article also mentions that from June 28th to August 23rd, CDC reported 193 people struck with similar symptoms.
it looks like this article and case study from 2015 might have been one of the first noted cases (article is mostly a Q/A with the doctor who ran the case study? but linked case study is legit)
also this isn’t likely to happen but e-cigarettes can blow up in your pocket or face
