Slightly off topic, but I thought you guys'd like to see it as it involves Immi.

A week or so ago, my friends and I returned from our Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award final hike (you have a practice, where you're helped by the hiking instructors, and a final, where you're left with minimum supervision and assessed) and marked the end of our time completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award (well so far as none of us are wanting to do Gold). When we had returned from our practice hike, I had started to compile pictures from the expedition to Minds Without Fear to create a music/lyric video of sorts. However, since the hike, Climb to Sakteng had been released/premiered and I absolutely fell in love with the piece. During our final hike I had it on loop in my head for most of the time. Because of this, when we returned I set to work on a completely different music video and compiled the pictures from both hikes into one video with Climb to Sakteng as the music. I intend to use this as "evidence" of doing my hike and thought I would share it with you guys. :)

The journey it has taken us all on has been quite a splendid and exciting one and we can’t wait for the next one - starting with baby Heap!

Let's start our excitement for the 'Sparks' release, shall we?

Name your favorite Immi song in the history of her music career anddddd.... GO!

Okay, so this wonderful little masterpiece is 'Heapsong 2' also known as Propeller Seeds so if this isn't worth buying I do not know what is!

Although it isn't my favourite I do rate it highly in its production.

Whats special about this song in particular is that it uses.. wait for it.. '3D SOUND' (so it's best listened to with headphones).

What's great about the song itself is it lets you put yourself in your own scenario (the lyrics can mean anything to you). In my personal opinion its about rooting yourself in a new place, meeting new people, new relationships, dating and starting your life again. Thus the metaphor 'becoming a tree' and 'growing roots through your toes'. 

The vocals are calm and soft. The music is relaxing and well composed.

If you enjoy new and unique music and haven't heard any of Imogen Heaps work before, it's time to give it a listen. Lifeline (released 2011) is the first  of several 'heap songs' released for Imogens 4th Solo Album (possibly to be released this year). The premise of this song was to be fan created, featuring sounds and lyrics that were sent to her for example: an ultrasound heartbeat and the London Underground. The central theme is survival and being under great pressure, a tribute to the victims of the 2011 Tohku earthquake and tsunami.

Imogens music is intricately layered, sung with a passion and almost always accompanied by piano.

Okay the thing about Imogen Heap is she's perfect in every way

Right. Now that that's been restated in all its truth, You Know Where to Find Me is one of those songs I know I will relate to for my entire life, with my whole being, because it's not only incredibly beautiful, but it's got lyrics that I resonate with on such a deep level it's scary. 

This one has kind of gone through my head before:

You could be screaming drunk,  Well I’ve got my bad days too - I’m gonna be here for you,  Be still with me. 

This one too: 

You know where to find me If you thinks it’s all over.  I can sense it a mile off it’s no friendly “hello.”

The best one though? Here we go, this quote riiiight about here:

Don’t mistake my charity for what it is -  a deep need to be needed: necessary

It's the kind of terrifying truth that I think a lot of us harbor in a deep part of ourselves - people want to give to others... for themselves. They feel needed, wanted, like they have value, when other people value them. People do charity work because it makes them feel good to help someone else out. People engage in relationships because they not only love being there for someone, but they know perhaps that other person will be there for them.

I know this feeling all too well. And it makes me crazy when I try to be there for someone and they don't appreciate what I feel for them, everything I want to be for them. 

I feel like this song completely equates with all INFJs everywhere, btw. Sensing something from a mile away? Needing to be needed to feel like you're worth anything? Wanting to be there for people?

Yeah, no contest.
