They claim the fire is under control but it is not, not even remotely close for how indifferent the rest of the country is to it. This is a sacred landscape and home to thousands of species, hundreds of them endangered. Including the critically endangered Scottish Wildcat and the last remaining Capercaillies.

Aberdeen, Scotland’s third largest city, is covered in smoke.
