Including Artist of the Week: Emil Gilels, featured playing Schubert's Sonata in D, D850.
There will be some Imogen Heap tracks from Cursed Child at some point, according to Noma’s twitter. Later in the week, I’m assuming.
what.
what what what.
Imogen heap is my mom
Here is the full-length version of Immi’s cover of Hey Ya (also known as Heap Ya) by Outkast. Enjoy.
Bringing this baby back
People who think “Mmm whatcha say” loop was created by Jason Derulo are the worst.
I actually played the real song (Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap) for someone today at work because that fool needed to be schooled. (We were playing a game and the category was song lyrics and they said “mmm whatcha say, by jason derulo” and I commented that it wasn’t actually his lyrics but a sample and they didn’t believe me.) Imogen Heap is a goddess and Jason Derulo is just another left over pop star.
Don't worry, we all love Imogen Heap
Another thing about Cursed Child
Here’s something about Cursed Child which I forgot to talk about: the soundtrack.
The soundtrack is AMAZING. And I know the standard of amazing soundtracks, let me tell you, because I watch a lot of Disney.
And it’s more than just making the action more tense more comic, more emotional etc. It is, alone, one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard.
I commend you, Imogen Heap, because your soundtrack is one of the best things I have ever heard in my life, and I’m not a big fan of soundtracks (I prefer songs).
I know this will never happen, but I’m kind of hoping there will be a soundtrack released because it is beautiful.
So all I have to say is thank you, Imogen Heap, you legend.
ok so ive seen a few people say that the instrumental for imogene heap’s song Half Life is whats used during the scene when Albus and Scorpius are separated (and from listening to the original omg wow those lyrics are certainly applicable too tbh but nvm rn)
so I’m thinking ‘oooh I wonder if they decided to use instrumentals of some of her other songs rather than write a new whole score or if it was just that one?’
and now all i can imagine is any and all of the least appropriate places for ‘mmm whatcha say’ to start playing jfc
“Albus Potter…SLYTHERIN!” *mmm whatcha saaaaayyyy*
“Albus I forbid you from seeing Scorpius!” *mmm whatcha saaaayyy*
honestly the worst i hate that im thinking of this
worst one thats come to me is when they’re all watching lily dying protecting harry and like honestly i shouldn’t be laughing but omg thats the worst
fun fact: this is actually how Immi wrote the score. it features Headlock, Goodnight and Go, The Walk, Half Life, Cycle Song and 31 more.
I just spent a week I’m in London, I went to the Harry Potter studios, watched the Cursed Child, went to the red carpet event where I talked to Imogen Heap (who’s the NICEST and oh man she’s so tall) and stared wistfully at Rowling from 5 metres away, and I went to Waterstones at Picadilly for the midnight release and tbh I want to sleep for a week, what a blast
imogen heap did the music for cursed child, huh?
*looks left and right sneakily*
MMM WHATCHA SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY
*reads the cast and crew section*
IMOGEN HEAP DOES THE MUSIC HOLY SHIT
i love imogen heap so much i want her as mny mom
i fucking love imogen heap
I just wanna make sure you all know
That the composer for the eighth installment of HP
Is the same woman
Who composed and sung “Mmm Whatcha Say”
Genuine hope the soundtrack's released on iTunes because 😍
have you heard about what she’s up to lately? she’s making like, music gloves
Imogen Heap’s background vocals in “Clean” by Taylor Swift
Imogen is the Goddess of Harmonising and we all know it.
