Ive never read the book, how do Wesley and buttercup fall in love in there?

its So silly the count (6 fingered man) and his wife had visited buttercups family farm to ask abt their cows milk (which was a coverup for the count looking for a bride for humperdink) and so buttercups dad has westley feed the cows to show thats literally All they do and its nothing special

and the countess will Not stop staring and smiling at westley while he works

and it drives buttercup Nuts n she cannot figure out why it bothers her so badly n she spends hours wide awake fuming and ranting and then realizes its Jealousy n she loves westley

so she ends up going to the like. shed thing. he sleeps in and confesses her love and its this long dramatic paragraph (part of it is my pinned post fjshhd) and its like 3am at this point and he Closes The Door In Her Face without a word

and so buttercup is Heartbroken and feels very silly and she runs to her room and cries and cries and then starts telling herself well westley must only have ever said "as you wish" bc he cant say anything else and all hes got going for him is that hes very pretty

and at dawn she hears a knock on her door. and she like plays coy n says her confession was just a joke n she hopes he doesnt think she was serious and he says

"im leaving"

and she Completely drops the act and ends up like. asking him if its bc of what she said ("i could kill my tongue") n he explains no hes going across the sea to seek his fortune n she starts saying stuff abt the countess n shell never love him

n he cuts her off and begs her to Stop talking abt the countess. hes going to find his fortune and build a home and when he can he wants to send for her so she can join him. and he confesses he loves her and its Also fun and sorta silly dialogue ("shall i continue?" "never stop"), and he says hes spent years and years training his mind and body in hopes that someday shell look his way and that every time he said "as you wish" he was really saying "i love you" but she never heard

and then as hes leaving theres a pause. and they Shake Fucking Hands. n he says goodbye. and he turns. and as he does buttercup cries "without one kiss?" and they fall into each others arms

the moviea fun in way different ways and theyre both really good but i read the book when i was much younger n i have a soft spot for it (': that first chapter is so very fun

As for the phobia thing: when I was little i was CONVINCED my toy kitchen set was going to come to life and kill me at night. Ever since then I've been nervous around toys that have faces in them that aren't supposed to have faces, but ONLY at night. I don't even know if woody (what I named my toy) had a face on him?

Oh also, im TERRIFIED of zombies, ghouls, etc any creatures that shamble. The redeads in ocarina of time changed me as a person. Also I was very afraid of aliens and I still kind of am. My childhood fears do not leave.

god youre valid, and aliens absolutely freak me out. my dad used to watch ancient aliens and he had the volume up super loud bc his hearing isnt great and i used to wear earplugs to bed so that i didnt stay up and listen to it and freak myself out. the stupid like. skinny big head big eye stereotypical alien makes me SO uncomfortable to look at. it makes watching xfiles...frustrating sometimes. yes i love sci-fi and alien movies, yes i hate aliens.
